Six Years

Cool Six years ago today my doc told me I had breast cancer.

He also told me it was the "bad" one and it was the "most aggressive" kind.

So here I am, back in chemo, but not for the bad one... I beat that one another year...

I am not as nervous this year as I was last. I think the hoopla around the five year mark freaked me out last year.  Or maybe because I was diagnosed again with a new primary and I heard the other shoe drop, makes me feel less anxious.

I don't know the answers to any of it.

But I DO know that without the love and support from my sisters on breastcancer.org, I would be a mess. You all are my strength and my touchstones.

So, THANK YOU, for being here with me on this Sixth Cancerversary.

I can't wait to be done with tx. I am want to dance with Ned again so bad it hurts.

Love,

My first post since the new look to the boards.

Gina, congratulations.  You are a very, very strong woman.  You are also an inspiration and are always so positive.  You're gonna beat the beast AGAIN.  It's been a long journey for you.  Keep that chin up!  Smile

Six years is awesome, even though you are fighting the damn thing again. Tongue out

Remember I am coming to NYC in November, can I buy you a drink?

Ya know, g, I think it's got to be so very terrifying hearing that other shoe drop, but if it ever happens to me, you've been such an incredible role model in how to handle that nightmare, I feel inspired and encouraged to know that I could do it too. So keep on keeping on, girl...you totally rock!
