I happened to tune in when she was telling her story. I was in tears after a minute and had to turn the channel. I really wanted to watch the whole thing, but just couldn't do it.

zz, I hope you will find it and watch the whole thing. It was really good. Yes, the single gal was a heart breaker, but so are we all, aren't we?
Just so you know, she gets to remisssion, as do others, even tho everything is not roses for all. Maybe that will make it easier for you.

Yes, the sister with Hodgkins did survive. It showed her going back to her family. I almost lost it too when she left her little boy to go to treatment, but he got his mommy back. Kate

Hi, LuAnn! I'm glad I investigated this thread! I can relate. I'm so sorry I missed the TV show but, I loved the blog entry and the poem by Gill McEvoy. As others have said, both items were very powerful and so true to my deepest feelings about the whole cancer experience!

I've been thinking how finally, someone is telling it "like it is!"

It's so nice to be reminded that I'm not alone and I'm not abnormal for resenting the cancer. I'm just not gonna embrace a deadly disease or accept it, or be thankful for it. This is war! (And it feels like a war...still, after four years cancer free).

I saw part of it and wish I had taped it. I just could not stay awake.

Does anyone know if or when it will be showing again? I have not found it on any listings.

I actually missed the first few minutes...did they ever say what kind of cancer Kris has?

I believe she has a rare form of liver cancer that has metastasized to her lungs.

I just looked at TLC's website and could not see where this show is scheduled to play again. I guess they played it last week from 9:00 - 11:00 and then again at midnight and that was it.

This show is airing again tonight twice, at 8pm & 11pm EST. If you didn't get to see it before, I'd highly recommend you check it out. If you're feeling shaky though, you may want to record it for future viewing.

Marin, I did not see a listing in my paper for tonight but I did go to TLC.com and from what I can tell they are replaying it October 31st at 8:00 and 11:00.

I'm glad you checked, newter, because I especially wanted you to see the post. I had thought about PM-ing you, but I often miss PMs now that we don't get the flashing envelope anymore. In any event, I watched part of it again last night (even though I still have the original on DVR) and appreciated it once more for its courageous message.

    Thanks Marin,

I had forgotten about it until I saw your post.  Now I plan on taping it at the end of the month.

Also, I know what you mean about PMs.  I go days/weeks without checking unless I am expecting someone to PM me.
