For all the cat people

My MIL lives in an apartment in the lower level of our house. Her cat, Maggie, lives with us, too (along with our kitty, Oreo). The last few weeks Maggie has decided I am her favorite person - but not to sit on my lap - to be amongst my things. She will sleep in my basket of head scarves or on my side of the bed. If I get up in the early morning to use the restroom I will often be startled when I lay down and sit on a cat instead of my sheets. Once I am up for the day, she claims my bed as her own (she NEVER sleeps on my husbands side). I am not sure what this is all about - but maybe I should be honored?
