OOPS! Fixed it. Sorry ladies. I thought it would automatically go to the next line down. must space between the vibes from now on.
Camper Mary, Next we will hear from you from your ipod in the woods. -
My mom passed away at 5:30 last night with my brother and I holding her hands. She is now at peace and no longer in pain. I'm sad/happy. Talk to you again soon. Thanks for your words of concern. Life is Good--Smiles--NancyLee
-
Nancy, I'm glad your mom is in peace. I know it must be awful for you and your family. Hugs.
Paula -
Nancy, you are in my thoughts and prayers. hugs, janie
-
Sorry Nancy, she is in Gods hands and at peace. It is indeed hard no matter how much you expect it or prepare. I know it was comforting for her to have your brother and you at her side. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Mary
-
Laura, I just now saw your post on here. I do not know how I missed it before. We have been keeping up and praying for our Shelli. I remember when she began this thread 3 years ago. I do hope and pray she is comfortable and at peace on this last journey here on earth.
-
Mary, how are you feeling today? Anything new with you or your family's health issues?
Thinking about you and everyone on this thread tonight.
Hugs to all, Janie -
Hope you all have a great holiday! My boys and Dad are coming over for the traditional grilled hot dogs, homemade chili, fixins, and lemonade.
Hugs,
Janie -
Hey Girls, hope you all have a great day. We don't have any plans but we have a grandson over. We will probably cook out and relax. Actually I think we should run down to Janie's because that sounds good. I have noticed that fall is in the air even though it is 90 in the daytime morning is very chilly and damp. I think it is going to get down to 80's this wk. Better go, have a good day everyone. Mary
-
Well, we're doing absolutely nothing for Labor Day. And I'm OK with that. But Janie's menu DOES sound delightful. Have a good one girls. NancyLee, hope you're doing OK.
Paula -
I'll throw some extra dogs on the grill. Come on down ladies!
-
I forgot. The HER2 support group sent me this survey to fill out. Some of you may want to do it. It did not take the estimated 10 minutes to complete. They also sent me an invite to a champagne breastfast the end of October, but it is in Southern California.

Janie, I did the survey and N.L. may want to do it too. Maybe we can go to Calif. I want to go to Springfield and get some beads that are on sale so hubby said we can just eat up there. He will get all worn out and probably not feel like going but it is a good thought. Have a great day girls. Hugs, Mary
-
Mary, I was wondering if you might not be close enough to go. That would be neat.
-
Hey girls, I have been trying to get hubby to have his surgery done by my Ortho guy so it can be done in a month. No, he has to go the the best.He doesn't get it until Nov. 27th. now we have a month of healing and some P.T. so now when do we get to go out west??? Maybe we can go and fly home for surgery. My shoulder has been a bit better as long as I don't move it much or carry anything. Well, N.L. hope you are getting along o.k. Janie, hope your Labor day wasn't a day of labor.I wish I could of tasted some of that gooood southern cooking. P.J., hope you had a totally relaxing day. We went to Spring. and got some beads and ate at Olive Garden and came home and lazied around. I am in charge of the 2 grandsons going to school so that keeps me busy in the a.m. and with my son in Chicago for a post surg. check-up and Dodgers/Cubs game(he is a Dodgers fan)I have his son and daughter also so I just run all over. One goes to St. Mary's. one the high school and 2 go to grade school not far from me. Actaully all the schools are like 2-4 minutes away. We have 4 public grade schools, a Jr. High and high school. There are 3 private(religious)schools. Well I better get. Have a good night girls, Mary
-
Mary, Sounds like the entire family is having surgery. Maybe you should share an OR and a recovery room and get a 3 for 1 discount. Seriously I hope you all get better soon. Yesterday was not too laborious. Had to return to my diet today. It is a pretty good diet, called the Diet 4 idiots. Guess that is why I like it. Actually, it is called that because you don't have to county calories or portions. It works really well.
Hugs to all,
Janie -
Just wanted to stop by and say good morning before heading out the door. Have a great day ladies!
Hugs,
Janie -
Hope you have a good day Janie. I have stayed right around 140 to 143 which is 12 lbs. more than I have ever weighed in my life(except for pregnency). I, thank goodness have height so that helps a lot. I am a little over 5'7'. People tell me I look shorter with the extra weight????? Oh well, I am o.k. with it but it is just a little more than I am used to. Have a good day girls, Mary
-
Hi girls, all this diet talk is making me queasy... (kidding) I got a jolt when I stepped on the scales at the doc's last week. I really have to give up my daily candy bar. It was not good.
Raining again here. I guess it's good but I'm pretty tired of it.
Mary, when are you guys thinking of going west? And is this the "for good" move or just a visit?
Hi to Janie and NancyLee.
PJ -
Thinking of you NL, knowing these few days have not been easy.
Mary, hope you and yours are feeling ok tonight.
pj, it has rained here some too. enough to make the grass grow quickly anyway.
have a good one ladies. Guess I will watch Roddick and Federer until I fall asleep because they will last far too long for me to stay up. -
What the heck happened to this place while I was gone??? It's weirder than weird and I don't really think I like it very much. I have 3 days of preschool under my belt. We had the private family ceremony here at sunset on Sunday night where we scattered Mom's ashes with Dad on the hill above the ranch house. It was a really pretty night and the pastor said all the right words. It was very moving. Then we had a Celebration of Life on Monday in town that was really nice because we were able to share a lot of happy tales with friends and family. My brother ran a computer show of a couple of hundred pictures of the family and mainly Mom all during the event. He's really good at that sort of thing. Then most of the family scattered for home on Monday evening and the rest went on Tuesday morning. My niece & her husband and my nephew from Houston flew up to Billings on Saturday and met my sister from Oregon at the airport. They all drove to Plentywood that day. It was a crazy busy weekend and then on Monday after the get together, my sister went to the daycare with me and helped me get my room finally ready for classes on Tuesday. It took awhile because I left in the middle of it the week before and it was still a terrible mess. We did a good job and school has gone smoothly except for the fact that I keep losing things because I can't seem to concentrate. Wonder why??? I only have 4 students in my younger class and 8 in the older group. That's kinda nice because those younger ones have the attention spans of gnats and 4 is enough to keep on track!! Well, my dog is barking his fool head off so I'm gonna go feed him and go to bed. I drove to Miles City after class to get my new glasses. I need them to see this little print!!! I'm thrilled to get them because I've been having headaches with the old ones. They were TOO STRONG. My eyes got better for some reason. Maybe Taxol or Herceptin gives you better eyesight!! HA!! Night all and it's good to be back even if this new format is a little confusing. They shouldn't DO THIS to people with fuzzy chemobrains!! Life is Good

Yeah, this is a little mind-boggling to get used to....
Nancy, it sounds like a really lovely celebration of your mom's life. Sounds like such a great family you have.
Nothing much up here. There's no news, which makes my job a drag. And no long weekend. Sigh...... Later, Paula -
Glad your back N.L. and I agree with Paula, it was a nice celebration of life. It is hard for a while so hang in there, it gets easier. I am off to a craft show 2 hours away the next few days but thought I would check in. I checked in earlier but it was too confusing and I said heck with it so I came back but have to run. This is a real nightmare. I will never find my way back because I will forget how I got here. Hi Janie. Later Hugs all,Mary
-
I have had to log in again every time I come here even though I check to remember me. AND it does not take you to the latest posts like the other one did. Oh well. NL, I echo what PJ and Mary said. I am sure my Mom and Mary's met your Mom with much to tell her. PJ, weatherwise, it is much milder in GA now. Mary, hope you find your way back here. Don't work too hard.
I watched some of the US open tennis. Djankovich did impersonations of some of the others after he won last night. He was hilarious. He did Sharopova and Nadal.
Have a good weekend ladies.
Janie

Janie, it IS a drag to have to log in every time. It certainly isn't as user-friendly as it used to be. Maybe it'll be more secure those and those people who send in the porn messages won't be able to get in so easily.
Hot and HUMID here. My brother in law (husband's sister's husband) is back from Houston, at home with hospice. He has a giant tumor in his throat and is too weak for chemo. Very sad. Of course, when I was over there this afternoon, he was having his son call his bookie to place a bet. Hope he wins big.
Hope you all are having a good one. -
Guess what??? I don't like this at all....because I have terrible trouble just finding US again. I got lost several times before I actually got back here. SIGH
I'm up at my brother's house and using his newer computer or I'd probably never have gotten on. We had a garage sale with a friend today and I actually had lots of fun. I just bagged up stuff and chatted with people I didn't know at all. It was kinda nice to get away from all the people at home who are hovering over me waiting for me to fall to pieces or something. Think things will look better and will have settled down by next week. I hope so at least. I got to play with 5 little miniature schnauzer puppies after the sale. They were SO cute. All in all it has been a very nice day. Hope you are all having a good last weekend of the regular NASCAR season too!!! Life is Good

Good Morning Ladies,
I am going to try something to see if it can take us here faster from the regular email. Nancy, glad to see you out doing things and enjoying life. PJ, I hope you BIL is pain-free and at peace. Is it just me or has there been an abundance of bad news these past few weeks. More so than usual. Mary, have you gotten lost in the new cyberspace confusion?
Everyone have a great weekend. I need to get busy on things I put off because tomorrow begins a very busy work week for me.
Later Girls,
Janie
-
Hey, Janie, that works pretty well just coming here out of that link. Good job!
-
AAAAHHHH, Janie, you are great!!!!!!! Hope all of you had a great wk. end. I have to take kids to school but I will be back later. Have to go all the way to the Dr. to get thyroid refilled today so I will talk later. Hugs to all of you. Mary
-
Sweet--Thanks, Janie. You're a genius.
