Nature's Promise Organic Foods

Giant, grocery store chain, carries their own brand of organic foods called Nature's Promise. Recently in our local Giant they started carrying all types of organic meats including pork, beef hot dogs and even bacon. I was very excited when I saw this as access to organic chicken and meats in my area is very limited, however I found myself questioning where Giant obtains the organic products from, since obviously independent companies that specialize in each of these products are packing and labeling for Giant's Nature's Promise. I tried to do some searching on the Intranet, but came up empty. Does anyone know how to gain access to this information?

Hi, Wendy,
Don't know about where Nature's Promie gets their food, but Stop and Shop iin the NJ area carries them. My experience so far is good. Haven't dug too deep. Good luck. -
wendy, cornucopia rates farms,on the quality of organics, and they rated Nature"s Promise" pretty low, questionable.
this was for milk, so i don't know about the meat etc. but you can ask them. it should come up on google as "cornucopia instute. like, i would never buy wlamarts organics. they have very low stardards or almost none in some cases, regarding organics.

Thanks for the link biondi
I have noticed 'tricky' wording in TV ads for grocery meats. Example "we cut our meat on the premises and promise we don't add hormones or antibiotics."
Of course they don't! They are talking about cutting meat! But many will think it is about 'raising' meat. -
YEA, WHAT DOES CUTTING UP DEAD MEAT HAVE TO DO WITH WHAT THE ANIMALS ARE FED AND INJECTED WITH, WHILE THEIR ALIVE?
I WOULDN'T TRUST SOME OF THE BIG STORE CHAINS, WILD OATS, WHOLE EARTH FOODS, WOULD PROBABLE BE A BETTER CHOICE. AND I WOULD ASK THEM WHO THEIR SOURCES OF ORGANICS ARE AS WELL. -
THIS IS A VERY IMFORMATIVE SITE ON ORGANICS, INCLUDING, MEATS,BEER ETC. AND HOW THE USDA CERT. ORGANIC.SEAL, IS QUESTIONABLE IN SOME CASES.
