Hi I would like to join the wagon circle. I have been a member of b.org since 6/3/06. I was dx in 5/06. IDC, stage 2, er/pr+, her2-, nodes clean. Had partial mastectomy and SNB 6/06. Finished 12tx of CMF in Dec.06 and 33 rads in March 07. I come on the discussion boards all the time and am always in the chat room. Could have never gotten to this point without all the wonderful friends I have made on this website.
Hugs and prayers,
Candie

Hi from NE Oklahoma, been lurking here lately. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in the left in November 06 and changed surgeons only to be diagnosed Janurary 07 with a tumor twice as large and this one was invasive in the right after she ordered an MRI. After having two lumpectomies (one by each surgeon) I did one dose of chemo and quit it as it knocked me off my feet(like having the flu only 10 times worse). I did 33 treatments of rads and am on Tamoxifin now and awaiting genetic testing results. If I have the gene I will have to have a masectomy on down the road. I am the first in my family to have breast cancer. Just now getting my hair back after loosing in in Feburary. Hubby and I had a wonderful bike trip on our new Goldwing trike doing over 3,000 miles around the 4th of July. Went to see my family in Illinois and saw several relatives and friends I hadn't seen in years during the mini family reunion during my Mom's 80th birthday party. And I got to see some of my classmates from 1973 for the first time since graduating! Then we went from there to Colorado to a bike event being held there during the 4th of July holiday. We weren't able to make the trip in 06 due to a bike accident with our two wheeled motorcycle just two weeks before the event so this was a long time in coming after dealing with our injuries and breast cancer on top of it all. Doc said hubby can't ride the bike yet due to weight issues on his bad leg but he okayed riding on a trike as that eliminated the weight issues!

I had the pleasure of meeting a few of the Circle Girls in person at Pinkstock this weekend. What a wonderful time I had!
I have been a regular chatter since June 2006, but rarely ever visited the boards. That, of course, will change now. I am soo very happy to join this circle of love and support!
Elaine -
Choca, make sure you make it over the other thread - Time to circle the wagons - that's where you'll find everyone.
Margaret -
Thanks Margaret - heading there now.

Choca..so glad you found us...chatters and boarders united...drinkign blue drinks..lol...
hugs MB -
ArmyNavyMom,
I finished rads on June 8th and felt the same way you do. After all those months of Drs., Nurses, appts and treatments, I wasn't sure what I would do without someone looking at me or talking to me about my bc.
But, it has been just fine. All my anxiety was for nothing. I am sure most of us experience this though.

Tonight I watched the sun set over the niagara river and felt the moon rise over my shoulder. I was so at peace. It has been a tough year but I am ready to move on, imagine how thrilled I was to find that you guys have circled the wagons already, I am looking forward to joining you. I read most of the posts and I am in awe, we are legion.
I can enjoy so many more sunsets while I am in the circle. -
Make sure you read the thread Time To Circle the Wagons. We're looking forward to having you join us.
