I am basically myself except 50yrs older No, seriously though, I am pretty much back except I find my concentration is off and my memory sucks. I am achy in just about every spot imaginable but beyond that, life is good.

    best wishes, Tina

Hi, It has been 4 years now since I have finished my treatment, and yes I can say that finally this summer I am feeling back to normal. I was beginning to think that it was never going to happen, as I had so many aches and pains, but they have actually left me. What I have now, is no different than my friends, so I put it down to aging. My mind is clear now........I was in a foggy state for a long time. I was just thinking today as I was out walking.."hey, my feet don't ache after a good walk anymore"
It does get better, so don't loose hope.
    Take Care

2 years out from surgery, 18 months out from chemo and 1 year out from radiation. Still not 100% better but MUCH better and improvong every day. Everyone is different. Some take 2 years some take 6 to get back to normal. Your body has been through a lot... give it time to heal.
    Be well

I started chemo 4 years ago this month - then had rads. I've since gone back to work - run 6 half marathons and a full marathon - but............... I don't think I'll ever be who I was before breast cancer. Things are different - aches worry me - memory lapses are a concern too - but heck....I'm turning 52 - I have 1 teenaged boy - (enough to drive anyone crazy) and a wonderful adult daughter......so I think this is it - my normal 52 year old life. Mostly, I like it - and mostly I don't complain about issues....but they do diminish over time. I truly believe though that exercise has helped me recover - mentally and physically - my advice is to get moving in any way you can - it keeps things in perspective and if you do it with others at your stage of life - you realize we all ache and creek etc.

I do try to walk. I could not do marathons like you. But after the chemo I thought i was going to die I was that bad. I have come a long way but I beleived the doc when he said I be back to normal in 3 months. I thought it was only me but now I can see it is not and grateful for this website now. Thanks for you reply
