About a week ago I noticed what i thought was a bug bite on the lower part of my left breast. I didnt really think anything of it. Today my breast really started hurting and feels kind of like the pain you get when your breastfeeding and your havent fed your child all night long and its hard and full and sore. My breast is harder and bigger to the touch, i even made my husband feel earlier. I was talking to my mom later and she told me to check out the IBC so i read about it and noticed i had some of the symptoms and got kind of scared. My breast is warmer than the right but not "hot" I just turned 23 and have a 29 month old and a 42 month old. I havent nursed in about a year and my milk has been dried up for a long time. I hope this is enough history

There is more chance that is breast infection and it can go away with medication, but you must check also to make sure it is not IBC. I'm hoping this is not IBC, but it could be and you must see an experienced Doctor to make all the required tests ASAP. Mine started with small redness like mosquito bite also, no pain and a little bit warm.

Definitely go and have your breast checked. Preferably w/ a breast specialist. More than likely it will not be IBC, but it's best to have that ruled out sooner than later.

Please let us know how you are doing.

    Hugs and Prayers,

Definitely get it checked out. I was diagnosed with IBC in 2001 and never had anything that looked like a bite and no pain at all. As a matter of fact, other than a slight bruising color, I had no exterior symptoms at all. It is probably nothing but you need to have it checked. Prayers are with you and keep me posted.

Thank you so much I will be making a dr appt as soon as they are open and hopefully they can refer me wherever I need to go. We live in a small town so have no specialists at all. It makes me feel better knowing it could be nothing but scares me so much thinking it could be. You guys have all had this and gotten past it?

My IBC looked like a bad spider bite. The pustule bubble and the tomato red radiating from it. Definitely see a breast specialist and push for a biopsy to make sure.
