    Hi - just saw Knocked Up last night. I had heard it was funny and the reviews I read were good. This movie may not be for everyone (LOTS of foul language) but I found it hilarious!! Tears were running down my face in several parts, and hubby was laughing throughout the movie too. Funny thing is, while driving home the parts of the movie he thought were the funniest were completely unrelated to what I thought were the funniest. Must be a boy/girl thing.

    I just watched "Because I said so" on PPV, It was a good no brainer, kinda chick flick, I was about to watch "The Queen" which I heard was great, but wanted something light and easy. Diane Keaton, Mandy Moore and the girl from Gilmore Girls, I can't think of her name, were the co-stars.

    "Miss Potter" -- lovely, gentle little film. good for the family to watch.

    I enjoyed Ocean's 13, certainly better than Ocean's 12.

    Wednesday I am taking ds to see the Transformers movie. I did see part of The Queen while visiting with my mom and looking forward to when it comes from Netflix.

    DH wants to see the new Die Hard movie this weekend. Anybody see that yet?

    My family and I went to see the Die Hard movie. We thoroughly enjoyed it - was a pretty wild ride! If you are willing to put aside the reality of anyone surviving the action and you like Bruce Willis you will probably enjoy it. Some humor in it also. The rest of the audience seemed to enjoy it also - in fact they clapped at the end of it.

    We saw the new Harry Potter this past weekend. Now we need to take our two youngest this weekend. I thought it was well done. There is no way to put everything in the movie that is in the book. But I really loved watching the interplay of the characters as they come of age.
    And also the scene where Hermione gets a little of her own back for what Ron did in Movie/Book 4 when he never asked her to the Ball. Great girl power!

    I am way behind on the movies that won awards. I just watched "Dream Girls" on DVD the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it. I can sure see why Jennifer Hudson won the best actress award.

    I have "Miss Potter" coming from Netflix. It is highly recommended from a dear friend.

    Wow, I came to say Ratatouille. (Isn't that funny, I spell checked that and one of the options was Bouillabaisse [which I definitely don't know how to spell]).

    And got to see the lovely post preceding this one, which will hopefully be gone by the time you read this - just an add for drugs and sex. Doncha love the internet. If only these people could use their creativity and smarts for something useful!

    Went to No Reservations this weekend. Was ok but I thought it had something of an identity crises (bi-polar, perhaps???) It tried to be funny and very serious and I'm not sure it ever got as much out of either as it could have.

    I really want to go see Hairspray - has anyone been yet???

    My daughter and I saw No Reservations last night and loved it. I guess my idea of a good movie is one that leaves me with a smile on my face. I'm 50 and my daughter is 20 so it appeals to all ages.

    My dad took my dd to see it, even she loved Hairspray. She totally understood the whole movie. My dad was amazed at some of her comments thru out the movie. She even told my dad at the beginning that she didn't think the heavy girl would get the guy .... "That'll never happen," she said. She was so happy when it happened she came and told me about it.

    I checked out from the library Mad Hot Ballroom. I loved it! It was so cute. It is a documentary about 5th graders in NY city who learn to ballroom dance and compete. I love a good documentary.

    Took grandson to see 'Underdog' and he loved it. He actually sat through the entire movie. Voice of Underdog is Jason Lee..very cute.

    I also rented 'The Holiday' with Kate Winslet...I loved it and watched it twice. Jude Law is my new boyfriend.
    Jack Black and Cameron Diaz also in movie but I just saw Jude...

    Saw the Simpson's last week - good distraction. Also saw The Golden Door (about Italian immigration to the US through Ellis Island). Thumbs up!

    My 7 year old loved Underdog, too. In fact, the whole theater seemed to react, which is always a good sign. We don't go to movies much, but he really wanted to see it. I'm glad we went.

    I seem to be doing a lot of rentals lately. I recently rented lost in translation. That one is odd but good.

    Premonition - Hated it! Not Sandra Bullocks best. It kind of has an annoying ending.

    I went and saw Bourne Ultimatum yesterday. That is really, really good! This coming from someone who does not like action films that much.

    I loved Underdog - as did my 50 year old sister and my 12 and 14 year old nieces. Sister and I grew up on Underdog. It was very sweet. Also so the preview for the new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie. What's next? How about Boris and Natasha?

    I'm going to see the Bourne Ultimatum tomorrow with some friends from work. Has anyone seen it yet? If not, I'll let you know how it is. I really need to read the books one of these days.

    I heard the Bourne Ultimatum is very good - will be anxious to hear what you think.

    I saw Being Jane yesterday - a sort of fictionalized version (based on some loose facts) about Jane Austen's life - particularly her love life. I thought it was very good and worthwhile to see.

    Watched Premonition on rental last night and the whole second season of Weeds- get Weeds!
    Pemonition was kinda weird. There's a message there, but I didn't get it? I do like S Bullock and she was fine in this flick, but the story was way out there!

    I rented the original "Hairspray" last week. Was good.
    I also saw "Inconvenient Truth" by Al Gore...quite informative about global warming.

    I loved Becoming Jane! So much the feel of the English country home at the turn-of-the-century (18th-19th, of course)...and her bf, Tom, is hot! Love Anne Hathaway too.
