can somebody please give me some advice.....i am stage 3a already done three rounds of adriamycin and cytoxan and have one more to go they are really tough and i get them every two weeks i was given steroids the first two and i asked to not be given steroids this last time because they made me feel really swollen and i ate like crazy i also have to start paclitaxel immediately after finishing the other stuff once a week for 12 weeks..... IS PACLITAXEL AS BAD AS THE ADRIAMYCIN AND CYTOXAN????? WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF THE STEROIDS????? i got my first tumor marker number it is 71 they say it is high and normal due to it did spread to my lymph nodes so HOW FAR DOWN DO THEY USUALLY DROP WITH EACH TREATMENT?????? I AM NOTICING EXTRA FATIGUE THIS GO ROUND IS IT CAUSE I STOPPED THE STEROIDS OR JUST BECAUSE IT IS TAKING A TOLL ON MY BODY?????

Tina, Sorry you hard to join us but you have come to the right place the ladies here can answer many of your questions. A/C is hard on your body, be sure to drink alot of water before and after treatment to flush it out. I too had 4 DD A/C and I am now on my 6th of 12 weeks of paclitaxel and it is much less taxing on the body. The fatigue is normal with or without steroids. Rest when you can stay on the post for good information.

Last week I had my third A/C treatment, previous to that one other chemo treatment that did not go well. Tina, I feel your pain. Totally fatigued all the time, sick and feeling very down. Hate the steriods also. They make me eat like crazy and then very nervous anxious feeling. Sometimes I wonder if I will make it through the treatment. I wish I had answers, just wanted you to know I understand and are where you are also! Rachel
