Hi gals,
I am going for blood tests and TM's tomorrow (due at onc on the 12th) and I am really scared. I am actually a month late due to onc's rescheduling and then myself resheduling...

I had bone pain and joint pain in my hip mostly and cannot even say where exactly. Sometimes it seems in the right joint, sometimes on top of the righ hip above my buttocks, little in the left hip, some in my knees....
That couldn't all be mets after a negative PETscan in late February?? But then why does it hurt???

It does not bother me when I walk...
I've been on Femara for 15 month now and took Turmeric etc. which helped with stiffness and hotflashes and had no real complaints until late May....and hotflashes are back too...
Is it the Femara all of a sudden?? Could it be mets? in several locations hurting so short after a good PET???

If you have a prayer left, please say one for me.

God Bless

Shirley, I would also like to know what enzyme was elevated. My liver enzymes have been slightly elevated a couple of times possibly due to my meds. What enzymes and herbs did your doctor tell you to quit taking?

the enzyme that was elevated somewhat was alkaline phosphatase(hope i spelled that right) and the enymes i was taking were wobenzyme and nattokinase plus, and the herb milk thistle, been having live soreness and pain for at least a year, now the liver pain has improved quiet a bit, so i don't know if the enzymes and milk thistle had any thing to do with the elevated enzyme or not..but i sure am wondering now.

I thought milk thistle seed was suppose to help lower liver enzymes and improve liver function. My liver function tests (ALT and AST) were slightly elevated and I took milk thistle seed for a month and they were lower the next time I had my bloodwork, though my ALT was still very slightly elevated by 3 pts but lower. I take milk thistle seed for a month before my follow-up oncology appts and/or bloodwork. I think Arimidex is the culprit but won't know for sure unless I go off it and I have no plans to do that. Keep us posted if going off the herbs helps.

Well, it's terror again for this 85 year old. I know all of us with a BC diagnosis are frightened. I think my terror comes from PTSD after 1969 misdiagnosed for 2 years Ca of Cervix which spread. Because I had ovaries removed at 35, I thought it was protective against BC and was thrown back into terror when I found a lump in Jan of this year. Then terror at lumpectomy, re excision, total terror of radiation and anastrozole, which, though, it's an early few months.I'm doing well on. In between the terrors I appreciate everyday life, taking classes, a lot of walking, movies, music, much reading, 65 elliptical minutes each morn

cont)morning. But, terror is back for me with my first diagnostic mammogram, since surgery, tomorrow and then appointment with the very easy on the eyes, BS. What's crazy about this is I'm worried not about right breast with the Ca, but the left breast. No lump, but it was zaps and zingers and sore nipple in left that made me examine right breast to see if it felt the same and that's when I discovered the palpable mass. Was supposed to have bilateral diagnostic in Feb, but only right was done. Still have some zingers and zaps in supposedly healthy left. Synchronous bilateral breast cancer is, I believe, only 1.3%, but terror. So, please, excuse this obsessive length and be in my pocket tomorrow.

    Hi KeyWest,

I am 11 years out form early stage bc and I never get out of the terror zone before tests.

some ladies get through it as a breeze and i congratulate them... i am a basket case and i make myself sick through the process lol.

be strong, don't let your head get ahead of you and keep us posted on your results.

ps.... i always get twinges in my bad boob...scar tissue and radiation apparently.
