No again...and we were playing so nicely together....
Well, lets start back up again? -
I Pm'ed the moderators - I don't think there was anything on that thread that was out of line. Hopefully, we will hear back as to what we are doing wrong that keeps making these enjoyable threads disappear without a trace.
-
Thanks Anne. Last I saw it there was Nothing that should have made that happen! Geeez...
Charlene -
Maybe it is because Nicki got a psych analysis online.

Angel -- don't feel too bad. Its not the end of the world to get a post or two deleted. Just let it go and move on and keeping have fun. You have a terrific sense of humor and that is badly needed on this journey.
-
Charlene, now you've gone and done it. You have violated rule #12 (I think) that says you are not supposed to discuss getting in trouble by the moderators. (I got that one once so I remembered it) Sheeshe
-
Back by popular demand...
-
oh god, I have to read the rules again. deleting my prior post Cheri!

Maybe we should build our own sandbox

Thank you Always Hope, I appreciate it. Still I can't help but feel like I'm suddenly walking on egg shells!
Charlene -
I am out of here - I was actually very lucky - I had the "Cheryl Crowe" version - lumpectomy and rads and move on. I haven't faced what so many folks on these boards have faced and now, maybe it is time to move on. I am sorry it is because of this censorship, though. I wish all of you health and happiness. May you all kick cancer's butt.
-
Anne,
Please don't leave!! We love you here! I understand your frustration though and can't blame you. Have you been to the Circle Girls thread? It's a nice supportive safe haven that I just joined. You won't find anything ugly there.
Charlene -
The thread is gone and Im glad. Although we tried to make it light hearted and did have some fun - there were negatives there also. I for one had my feelings hurt a few times - despite trying to keep it light hearted.
I must always remember and try to practice the one thing I have been told over and over again. Use the ignore button. Dont respond to anything I interpret as negative or something that puts me in a defensive mood.
Its a new day, a new thread. Lets just have some fun as we are trying to Move Beyond. Some people can walk away, I love the friendships I have made here - and would have a hard time leaving.
Anne - we love you too much. Maybe lots of stuff went down that you didnt have a chance to read. Either way, I will miss your friendships and some of your posts just put a big smile on my face. So please dont leave.
Charlene: Im sure you didnt do anything wrong so quit your worrying and pull your wagon up to that circle.
Nicki -
anne:Glad you had a "normal" kind of bc if there is such a thing. Not for me I was stage 4 from the beginning with IBC and mets to liver.Last aug I was given 2 months to live and now I am ned.Praise God.
I so wanted to check this thread out and be a part of it.Guess I am to late.
Why dont we go somewhere else and build another sandbox??
Cheri??? you in??? -
Hey Nicki- wise words as always, it's so hard not to react, and makes me sad to know your feeling were hurt, and how do you always find the perfect picture?
Anne - "Sheryl Crowe version" I love that! (And I wish I had that version, I think I have the Kylie Minogue (sp?)version!) -
OK!I'll bring this one back. I thought it was one of the funnier pictures.
-
Robin, always count me in. hahah
Cheri -
Second favorite picture!
-
Most favoirte picture!
Nicki -
I never get tired of the penguin clip - laugh every singe time I see it!! I love the brave thing one too! And OK, I'm kind of dense sometimes - but I don't really get the guy hitting the minimize x box and then it falls on his head? It's funny, but I feel like I'm missing the point! Maybe I need a box to fall on my head! LOL
-
Nicki,
I have put the "do one brave thing" picture on my laptop as the desktop background. It is such a funny picture, but every time I look at it the thing that really gets me is the penguin in the background is carrying a handbag!! hahahahahahaha
Vickitn: I would LOVE to have the time, energy, and resources to build my own sandbox. So glad to hear you are now NED!!!! God is good.
I am not yet 40 (coming in September), but I have learned in life that ANYTHING can be misconstrued by someone and people can take offense when none is taken. The internet poses a particular problem because intonation and facial expression is removed from the words being conveyed. Some people are less able to communicate through the written word and misunderstandings can occur.
What I see happening here is a few people with very specific axes to grind spoiling it for the rest of us who can take a joke and know when to ignore something and move on. Breast cancer does not discriminate. It doesn't choose only well-adjusted, kind, and socially apt persons to afflict. We are a cross-section of society and if you put 20 of us in a room together, there would likely be strong dislikes and disagreements. It is a shame that some would choose a forum in which the general theme is information and support to spread negativity. I suppose we need to remember that not everyone has an outlet for the anger/fear/pain caused by living with BC...maybe some just come here to let of steam. -
If you don't like a thread, then don't read it. i's just like changing the tv chanel, radio station or not checking out a book by an author you know might be risky.
-
I have a sandbox you can use. PM me if you would like the address.
-
Juanita I totally agree with what you said.
Count me in Cheri also.
