My cat is crazy
My husband (newly married) and I have 3 tiger cats - the newest one we bought in the fall from a rescue agency right after my FIL passed away unexpectedly. She was only 4 weeks old and the sweetest thing - my 2 male cats adore her and treat her like gold..we started noticing that she is a little "wild"
She jumps in the fridge and grabs any plastic bag she can and bites a hole and won't let go - she swings from the shower curtain rod like she's a gymnast, she plays fetch all day long, loves water, and opens the garbage and cabinets.
Then we noticed she started scaling up vertical surfaces...she climbs our closet shelves now and walks across the hanging clothes...I have never seen anything like her so I did some research..sure enough..look up Savannah cats on google..that's her..
Anyone else have "wild" cats? I've had michevious ones, but she takes the cake for weirdness...although at least she loves to cuddle and sleeps on my neck....

Just give her a few years and she'll calm down. She just has lots of energy and likes to play. The fact that she also likes to cuddle is a sure sign that you've got a wonderful cat!

We actually love the way she acts - it's entertainment for us - we built a huge cat walk for the upstairs - it has a bridge and staircase, sleeping bed, and a rope to climb and it's only a foot down from the ceiling - they love it
If I was single I'd be a cat hoarder....hehe -
I have a tiger cat that loves plastic - she will chew through any plastic she can get her paws on. Is it the plastic bag you cat is after or is it the food inside? My tiger cat is also a snufflebum - she sits in my lap every night while I watch tv and purrs and rubs herself up against me. Then, when I go to bed, she comes in and flops on me. We also got her from the MSPCA. I think it just comes with the breed. She is a lot of fun.

You're cat is very cute...yes they are all very snuggly..Sugar (the savannah breed) loves food, but she seems to like the idea of biting the plastic just to make a hole and then looks at me, like aren't you proud?
She opened a cabinet and pulled tostitos out - the perfect mix of plastic and food..hehe -
Does she eat the tostitos? We had a cat we nicknamed the Dorito bandito - every time DH had doritos, he would sit in front of him and beg for chips. DH gave them to him - now we know better.
-
I love it - The dorito bandito - that's good
She eats tostitos - she seems to prefer the organic nature's choice - hehe - this morning she had wheat honey pretzels - she is a dumpster diver - eats out of the sink garbage disposal too - we are very careful now...my mom's cat liked tostitos also - she came running whenever she heard the bag.. -
I use to have a very nice gray house cat. I loved that cat, he use to beg for pineapple???
I need a new husband because he is alergic to cats, So he won't let me get another but if I had my way my whole house would be filled with cats & dogs! -
Well I love cats and dogs. Right now I have 2 cats - Wesley and Leslie are their names. Wesley is a black tuxedo and Leslie looks like she is a cow with spots all over her. My dog mister came to this house after them and he thinks he is a cat. And the cats think the dog is a cat. Its a bizarre household.
But - the craziest cat I had was a grey tuxedo. Her name was called little dido. Anyways at the time I lived in a farm house and this crazy cat figured out how to get into the walls and ceiling. When it came time for dinner you would hear her running in the ceiling and then jump down from what looked like an impossible area to reach. She was always trying to get out and on 9-9-99 the door was blown open. She took her chance and never saw her again.
You cat sounds like a real character.

Yes..maybe I'll videotape her...I'll call it 1 night with Sugar..hehe like PH's sex tape....
Good thing she can't get in the ceiling or walls....my other cats are starting to act more hyper too now - one of them decided he likes to sit on a shelving unit that's high next to the shower and get his "steam sauna" everyday - yesterday I caught him with his head over the curtain staring at Jeremy while he showered..hehe -
Hey "M": I am not too busy at work today... go figure that one out... LOL
...am doing a trip to old posts... how's your cat doing? Still wild?
