A Sign from Above

I wanted to share this story with all of you. The night before last, my husband was mowing the lawn and I asked if he would mow down the tulips around the base of our mailbox that had stopped blooming. The next day when I came home from work I walked out to our mailbox to get in our mail. As I was opening the mailbox, I just happened to glance down to see if my husband had actually done his job of mowing off the tulips. Yes, he had done the job, but laying at the base of the mailbox was a golf ball. I picked it up and inscribed on the ball was "FAITH" AND "JESUS IS LOVE". At first, I though it was probably one of my husband's golf balls, so I asked him about it. He said that it definitely was not his ball and that he had never seen a golf ball inscribed like that before.

I am a true believer in fate and signs, so I am taking this as a sign from heaven for me to have "FAITH" and that JESUS will be by my side forever in my battle with breast cancer. It is also a sign for all of us to not only have "FAITH" that you will survive your battle with breast cancer and to trust in "JESUS" for his love and support always. I believe that miracles can happen and I will hold on to this "SIGN FROM ABOVE" forever.

Kelly, I read a book awhile ago called God Wink Moments. It talks about how there are no coincidences and that things like this that happen are messages from God. I'm so happy that you received a God wink moment, a true blessing and gift! Lisa

I just happened upon this thread and I have my own "sign from above". Shortly before I was dx, around the time of my followup mamogram the city *finally* planted trees on my street, replacing the one they'd cut down due to an ice storm 2 years earlier. The tree was completely barren -- no leaves, buds or signs of life. After I got my dx and surgery (on 3/30) I looked at that tree, depressed since it was so bare and I figured I got a bum tree. Finally it started to blossom and now all the branches have leaves on them. I am taking this tree being planted in front of my house as a sign of a new beginning, and that I'll be around for a long time. I am babbling I know, but I've never shared how I see my tree with anyone before.

What a wonderful uplifting story. I read about the "God winks" too and received many of them throughout dx, chemo, surgery, rads and still today.

This reminds me of going for a walk when I was exceptionally DOWN and I looked down and out of no where a laminated piece of paper blew at my feet. I picked it up and it said "Be strong in the Lord in the power of His might." YES...He does speak to us! And we cling to those things. Thanks for sharing! Becky

Here's my story. At work one day the UPS guy came in and after some small talk he for some reason not known at that time started talking about a bad back he once had. He filled me in on how many times he was hospitalized and how he had to do certain things like sleep and his strong medications, etc, etc. So I asked how his back is now. He said he was in church one day and a lady put her hands on him and prayed for him and he was totally and completely healed. When I got home that day I opened my mail box and I had the card from the radiologist that my mammogram wasn't just right. God sent the UPS guy to comfort me, in advance, to let me know that He was with me and that He still heals today. Now, that is love!!

I had two "GOD moments" when I was first diagnosed. When I was sitting in the surgeon's office trying to absorb what he was telling me, I saw a sign on the wall behind his head that read "GOD heals, but I get the credit". I knew then I was in the right place and had picked the right doctor!

Almost all the way home from his office, I was following a car whose novelty bumper sticker read "SURVIVOR"--I took it as a sign from GOD that I was going to be OK.

When I was first dx I was going through the scared why me phase. I was driving and thinking about my mom who had passed away. I started crying and wishing she was here because I was scared and didn't know what to do. When I looked up I seen this woman passing by all done up in pink survior tee shirt and hat. I knew then that God let my mom know I would be ok.
