Hello
I just read all of this thread, and I would like to join in. What a great group. I don't get to post a lot due to my work schedule. Usually I am just around in the evenings. I am new here and was diagnosed in early March, so I'm new to BC as well. I have been looking around for a place to talk and meet people, I think I have found it!
Tricia -
Welcome Tricia,
I'm so glad that you found us! Come on down to the main circle thread and jump in. It's pretty fast moving, but don't feel overwhelmed; you'll soon get to know us all.
Please be sure and tell us a bit more about yourself.

Hey Tricia
Welcome to the Circle! -
Welcome Tricia!
I look forward to seeing you in the main circle
Deb C -
Hi Tricia! Now we can see each other in two different threads. They are similar and different all at the same time. And we all can use more love, support and warmth! See you over there.
-
Hi Tricia. You've made a great choice. There's so much support here and everyone makes you feel so welcome. I joined in Nov of last year and it wasn't any time at all that I'd felt like I'd known these ladies all my life. You'll laugh, cry, and have all kinds of emotions. This is a good place. Come on over to the main thread, Circle The Wagons, it's the largest thread. Someone mentioned to you not to feel overwhelmed. That was good advice because we all like to gab and we move pretty fast. Just jump in and post wherever you want to and soon you'll get acquainted and fit right in. It truly is an excellent support group. So stop on by and post, you'll be so glad you did.

Thank you. You have already made me feel so welcome.

Hi,
I am not sure if I should join this or not. I would love to have a group to talk to and right now I jump around to read different forums and post mostly in the Moving Beyond. Most of the threads are short lived and I really do not get a chance to know anyone.
Anyway, I have already given up TV and reading books for the most part because I spend all my down time here at BCO reading and just recently started posting.
My problem is this: Time management and direction. I need advice on how to successfully join the Wagon Circle (not even sure which thread to join, there are so many) plus keep up with the other forums, plus get sleep. I work full time and have 2 young kids. I am totally addicted to this website and would like to make the most of it by maybe making some good friends.
Where is the best place to start? Thanks, love this place
-
Newter, glad you are here.
To join the main thread go to:
TIME TO CIRCLE THE WAGONS GIRLS
All you have to do is introduce yourself and someone will be there to welcome you shortly. We would love to have you join.
Love your kitty!!
Madison -
Hi Newter, our main thread here is the largest one, "Time To Circle The Wagons Girls." This is the most supportive, caring, funny bunch of women I've ever known. You would make wonderful friends here. The only problem I see you having is becoming addicted to this place. I don't know how much extra time you'd have. lol You are more than welcome to come join us, all the girls are very easy to get acquainted with. We have several new girls we're glad to have. We also have a Cyber Par-Tay thread that is alot of fun, mostly a bunch of silliness. lol But if you decide you'd like to share in the special relationships that we have here you should go on over to the Wagon Circle thread, post a little about yourself and see the love that comes forth. Don't try to keep up, there's too many of us gabby women! Just post what you want and when you want.

Newter, welcome and don't worry about keeping up in the Circle. I work full time too and some days don't have alot of time to post. We'd love to have you!!!
-
Thank you for the responses. I will be posting there shortly.
Madison, I love my kitty too, her name is Blueberry and she is awesome.
Cheri, I already have an addiction problem and I know I should not be feeding it more but I have no willpower. Anyway, it is really out of my control, I just love this site so much. -
Hi Ladies,
This is my first post on this thread. I've been reading thru it, and it seems like a lot of support here. So, I thought I would try and get some of it :-) I've been going thru this since Nov. of '05, dx with ILC. Many tests and stuff in between, another MRI next week again. Anyway..I am feeling extremly depressed lately. Lots of "fears" keep creeping in and eat up my entire day. In the last 5 years I've had my father die of lung cancer, my sister died of a heart attack, I was dx with BC and then my mom was dx with BC. Its been one thing after another. I dont feel the same anymore, and my self esteem has went down to nothing. I have called the social worker to set a time to get together. My feelings I think are of so much loss, I think I never dealt with. Now I'm feeling like I am not good enough for my husband anymore, and thinking what if I loose him too? He's been great. But my fears are eating me up. Why does someone want something "broken" when there are newer "models" out there. Sorry to unload. I just want to find a place where I feel whole again.

Little G, Join us in the main circle "Time to Circle the Wagons"
You will see an out pouring of love and friendship!
And Welcome to the wagon Circle! -
Little G pull yourself up a wagon in the Time to circle the wagons and you can unload anytime. Heck, thats what we are here for. We get it cause we have been there and done that. Hope to see you around.

Hi Ladies,
I have been a part of bc.org since October 2006. Diagnosed in December 2005 with ILC. Unfortunately, did not find this site until treatment was finished. I have posted a few times on different threads but looking for a place to call home. Like another newbie said - most other threads are short-lived and I have a hard time remembering where I posted. I changed computers so have posted as Suz56 and Suzfive (couldn't remember my password when I changed computers).I have read some of the "Time to Circle the Wagon" thread and you all sound like a great group of women. I even own pink pearls! Would be nice to talk to others going through the same things.
Sue -
LittleG and Suzfive,
There is not a better place on the boards. If you want plenty of support, you have come to the right place!! Come sit by the fire and feel free to vent whenever you want! Please drop by the Wagon Circle! -

Hi NS,
What a wonderful thread. I was invited to join you some time ago. I hope the invitation is still open. BTW which way to the wagon--I need one and also a horse. I'm not much of a coffee gal, but gosh, BRING ON THE HOT CHOCOLATE!! Your posts have been so much help to me. Yes, I have been lurking for some time. My Mastectomy was on Valentine's day of this year. SNB showed no involvement
so no chemo or rads. I am very lucky. I will help with
any thing I can. Keep me posted.
Hugs,
Betsy43 -
Welcome Betsy. Main Wagon Circle is just over younder under Circle the Wagons
-
Welcome Betsy, I found out not long ago just how wonderful the Circle girls are. You just have to jump in any where you like! What a Valentines day you had. Glad to hear no rads or chemo for you. My hair fell out on my birthday! LOL
Marsha -
Betsy, don't worry about trying to catch up, just jump on in and introduce yourself.
Margaret -
Hi Everyone,
Just a little info so you'll know more about me. I live in Florida. Am so glad to be a part of this group. As I have been lurking here for awhile, your posts have given
me so much comfort. You see not only was I going through my mastectomy on Valentine's day, I was also trying to recover from a hip replacement which incurred 3 seperate surgeries. A lot of pain. Be assured, you made a differience in how I felt each day. Thanks so much. I will be enjoying being a member and I can't wait for my chocolate. Thanks again everyone. I'm feeling warmer already. The campfire is great. The comfort is wonderful.
Keep it coming.
Hugs,
Betsy43 -
Welcome Betsy43 to a great, I mean, great group of sisters. You will find much comfort and love here, so visit when you can, good or bad. We listen to everything. xoxo
