Yes, I hope that means they are all doing well and moving forward with their lives too...

I know its only been a few days since surgery but I thought I might feel something by now...although I did wake up this morning with my clothing moist so think I probably had a hot flash or night sweat that didnt wake me...of course that is the first all night sleep Ive had in awhile so not much would have woken me ....

Back to work already???? Well I hope that it's not a physical job! You take it easy. I know it can get boring being home all the time but that just gives you more time to work on the quilt.

I really need to get busy on My grandson's blanket I need to get two done in the next couple of weeks! and then one for my oldest granddaughter too!

If you ever get out towards Seattle area let me know and we can get together!

    Gentle hugs

    Hi,
Yes, I am an office manager for the state fish & wildlife here...Im looking forward to going back to work but am a little concerned about the lower back....seems if I sit or walk too long it get really achy...I talked to the gyn about it and he said it is normal and that it will go away as the internal muscles get stronger again....
I have the quilt almost done...one more row to put on then tie it and sew the backing...need to get it done maybe this weekend as I am going to Spokane to deliver it a day earlier than I thought...I had planned to go Thursday but it has been changed to Wensday and will come home early Sunday morning to rest up for going back to work on Monday...kind of a little mini-vacation ...
How are things going for you???? I have been here off and on and thought I saw a post about a scan not going very well for you (:
I do get to your area every couple of years or so...I still have tons of family in the Port Orchard area but we arent very close....will have to plan a trip over there to meet all my new friends on that side of the mountains

Talk again soon....if you need anything please let me know....
    Hugs

The scan didn't go well I have a liver biopsy scheduled on Wed and bone scan on Thur. I can't tell my family until I know what is going on for sure which won't be until May 8th.
    Thanks for thinking about me.

I've never tried a quilt... I take that back I did one once when I was about 16. Maybe I'll give it a shot again I have lots of material that I could use.

    Take care

    Im so sorry CY
If you posted this I must have missed it......
I understand about not telling the family...I did that when I first found my lump...I told my daughter and best friend but no one else...I finally told mom the day I had the biopsy because I didnt want to blind side her if it came back as cancer....even when it did, it took me awhile to be able to tell anyone.
I hate that you are having to wait so long for the testing!!!!
If you ever want or need to talk I would be happy to pm you my phone number....

The quilt is almost done...I had one row left to sew on when my girlfriend and her husband showed up to take me to dinner the other night so will get that sewed on finished off tomarrow....I will try to figure out how to post a pic of it once its done....
It has been a wonderfully warm weekend here so took my gd, gs and nephew fising yesterday...they had such a good time ...
    Hugs

HI Jules, is the quilt done? I can't wait to see it!
I finally told my Mom & Dad but they are the only ones other than all my sisters here that know all that is going on. My sisters are guessing it pretty accurately but I told them I don't want to speculate and and hoping for the best until I hear otherwise.

    Hi Cy,
Yep its done finally...I had thought on how I wanted to do it but the fabric had other thoughts so spent almost and entire day re-arranging blocks as it would pucker when sewing....
I will try to post a pic....lets see if I can figure this out....

Went to Long Beach to try and relax this weekend. Love the beach but it sure was a bit chilly!
Wish it was closer so I could go more often. The beaches on the sound are just not the same!

    Hope all are doing well!

    Cy,
Im glad you told Scott....its so hard to hide that kind of worry from the ones that love you so much and Im sure it was a huge relief for you....
Long Beach sounds fun, but yes, still a little cool...I didnt get to make my yearly trip to the Oregon coast last year so am hoping I can sometime this summer...I love it there.
Im sorry I wasnt here for your biopsy ....I went to take that quilt to Will and had a wonderful time....we drove to the mountains for a day, did tons of shopping in Spokane and some lazing around....it was a very enjoyable weekend ...
When will they have the results of the biopsy for you??? I sure pray it isnt very long now that they finally got it...
Please let me know how it turns out and if there is anything I can do for you...
    Hugs

    Hi, ladies
I just read your message. I am also from Washington (our neck of the woods). I am up in Sedro Woolley, between Bellingham and Mt. Vernon. I am an "oldie", registered in 2002 and now I visit this site infrequently. It was a life saver for me during my treatments etc. Keep in touch. Sassy

    Hi Sassy,
We are always glad to have another Washingtonian join our little group...
but it makes it even better when you are and "oldie" as you say...some day all us newbies hope to be able to say that very same thing...
This site is wonderful and I have made many very good friends here and have gotten soooooo much help with questions and support that I dont even go to any other sites.

HI Sassy! Glad to see another from Washington!

Sure would like to see everyone on the Circle Map! It really helps to know we're not alone! If you have seen the map, you can find the link for it in the Moving Beyond Time to Circle the Wagon thread! I had some help from someone else getting it to work but am so glad it was done! If you zoom in a couple of times before you try to place yourself on there you can get fairly accurate where you are!

Jule, I get the results on Tuesday! My niece's and Father's birthday and one year from my last chemo! What a day!
I think they took the samples from the biggest spot it is over 3 cm and was a bugger to get to. Still feel bruised and can't lift anything to heavy and of course it's a great excuse not to weat a bra! But each day is getting a little better. Just sore and tired and so releaved that Scott is handling this well so far!. They all honored my wish not to talk about it this weekend

Today was my 1st day back...it was very nice...I walked into an office full of balloons and a bright spring bouquet of flowers....
Im tired tonight and a little achy....I didnt realize pushing myself around in my office chair was a no-no...feeling it some tonight.
It was beautiful here today too...I think I heard it topped out at 82 today and heard that it is suppose to get close to 90 tomarrow...I was worried that it would go from 60 to 100 over night and I wasnt too far off if it does that tomarrow.

Hope all is well with everyone....and everyone is enjoying the good weather.

My mood kinda matches the weather today. I can't wait to get treatment started and get these tumors shrinking. I hate the way the pain meds make me feels and it's getting harder not to take them. Think I will ask for something to combat the neasua tomorrow when I go in for all my first round of appointments before we start all over again.

My parents will be here tonight the way my Mom is driving. They were suppose to be here until Tuesday Night! I've talked to just about all the family and my sister is going to talk with her kids. I have a lot to get done in the next week but am deteremainesd to do this right.

Thinking about all of you and hoping your days are brighter than today in Seattle was.

    Love hugs & prayers

Im sorry you had such a rough day ....it was over cast and icky here today too....

Spent part of the night in ER last night with my son.....the goof ball was riding his snowmobile in my back yard last yesterday evening and when he turned the corner something caught his pants and pulled his leg under the machine....broke it just above his ankle so they did surgery last night to put some metal plates, pins and wire in to hold it because it was a really bad break....they told him he will be layed up for 2 months with the cast then crutchs for awhile, then cane...

Unfortunately he is like his mom and the first thing he ask them was when he could go back to work....that is still being dicussed but Im thinking they wont let him for a bit...

Rest of the weekend with the races and dance was great....was really fun to go play like that but two late nights makes me a tired girl today!!!!....

    CY,
Nope no snow...the ER Dr. asked him to tell him the month, date and year.....then when Justin gave him the correct answer the Dr. laughed and said "Ok, I know you didnt bump you head since you definately seem to know its not December..." I laughed my butt off....
He has taken alot of razzy about this and he's only been home since about 2 this afternoon ....
Sure is a great community I live in though, my phone rang off the hook all day with people checking to see how he is...

Oh and by the way.....Mom IS getting her razzing in to, but I have to be careful as the only time Ive ever had a cast was caused by something similar but I was on a 4-wheeler:) Had to wear that stupid cast for 8 months so hoping his experience wont be THAT long!!!!!

Hope your feeling better and getting some rest...talk to you again soon,.

Jule thank you for the ecard.
I did post pics of Hayden in the Wagon Circle.
I'm pretty tired and achey right now and with my parents here I don't get on very much.
They were able to place the port in the same area as before but had some problems with scar tissue so it took him longer than usual. I have one of those new Power Ports so they can give me the CT's in the port and not have to set up an IV.
The chemo took about !/2 hour and the flush took another 1/2 hour but the first one is done!.

I'm going to glance at the wagon circle and head back to bed. I'm prety wiped!

    Hugs & Prayers
