Green tea?

FYI, Whole Foods carries Rishi tea. You can special order the one you want if they don't carry it. Most stores (the larger ones anyway) won't make you buy a case but if you do you'll get 5% off (a case of anything - coffe, tea, yogurt, energy bars, etc.).

I think Whole Food sometimes caters to the demographics of the area. I couldn't get the tea there after tracking down the employees for help. But my WF is in the suburbs. In the
city the WF even had a juice bar and many products that I could not get at my branch. It seems to be at the discretion of the management as to what they carry.

Susie, it's IS somewhat at the discretion of "management" but also what the consumers want. We carry things for a while but if they don't sell then we cut that product line or certain items in that line. I've worked at two different stores, not 10 miles apart, and the demographics are SO different that what sold in my old store doesn't sell in my current store - and vice versa. Again, if it's available from the supplier then it's orderable. An entire case purchase is generally NOT required but if that store doesn't even carry that line then they'd require it. I order a product we don't carry just because I really like it and don't want to search for it elsewhere. HTH.

Thanks, Dear One.I was seeing the pix of the bottles of Teas Tea.But yes there are LOTS of realy great green teas listed.
I, actually, have never had a problem finding delicious green tea.I shop Asian markets and Whole Foods.In fact just yesterday I bought 3 boxes of beautiful organic Japanese Tea with organic rose hips and rose petals!On sale! I'm a happy tea-drinker!

I bought me some green tea to drink today. I just bought the Celestial, raspberry flavor. Thought I try this before buying more expensive tea from an Asian market or health food store.

I bought the Rishi tea on-line. It has loads of taste. I'm just having a problem with brewing it. I don't have a strainer. I just thought I could put some leaves in the bottom of my cup and add water and they'd stay down. Nope. It worked that way in Japan, but they don't stay down here. Oh, and the directions say to put 1 tbl spoon in for one 7oz cup. That's a lot of tea. I started it with 1/2 and it was very tasty.

I got a teapot with a infuser at a local store called Indigo Tea Co. There are lots of places on the web to buy these teapots too. You can also just buy the infuser to use in your own cup.

I love the loose teas but it is a lot putzier to make than just taking a bag out and putting it in water. (smile)

I also use less tea then they recommend.

Did you put a lid on the cup while it was brewing? I don't know why but it seems to make a difference. I've had tea pots with infusers inside, but I did't like the idea that the infuser was made of plastic.

For me the easiest way, since I drink more than one cup
and I like to make Ice tea is to use a French Coffee Press.
Its relatively cheap and does a good job if you don't want leaves floating up. Mine is a bodum. Bonjour also makes one and they can be gotten on ebay or amazon.

The simplest way to keep leaves out is a tea sock. If you are a purist this is muslin and probably the way to go.

I bought one of these for my daughter. If I like the green tea I'm going to get one for me.

Here's the pictures and descriptions. The "zip" one is larger I believe. And they are glass with metal mesh thingies inside. And they come in different colors.

Thanks all, I think I'll try all your suggestions, one by one. First the cover over the cup, then the muslin net thing and if that takes out too much flavor, I'll buy the ball. The tea is really worth all this trouble. Right now I'm straining through a coffee filter till I get something.
