I also have had breast cancer starting when I was 35, it was ER/PR- had a lumpectomy with 3 lymph node +, started with chemo, cytoxin, methotrexate and 5 FU, then radiation in 1995. In 1999, found lumps in the area I was radiated and was told by my oncologist that it was scar tissue. I did not feel like it was, so I went to another Oncologist who biopsied the lumps and found out it was cancer PR+, and I ended up on Tamoxifen and had a mastectomy to my right breast, had a stroke in 2001, took 8 months to recover from that. was unable to speak or walk, right side very weak.2006 had a heart attack and stent put in with complications. died 3 times and left my body, was told to come back, november2006 found same breast cancer from 1995 back into my pleural cavity which collapsed my lung and spread into my sternum and ribs. Been on taxol and now switched to gemzar because cancer is newly spread into my spine. Don't know why they told me to come back to this, I was happy when I left my body in June. Now I am stage VI and fighting!

    HRay,

You sound like a fighter. I'm hoping you have a lot of "good" days where you are not in any pain.

    Hugs to you...Joni

My goodness, HRay, you've certainly had it all! But you're so young, aren't you? I hope that you're posting, or at least reading posts, on the 'Recurrence...' board. Those ladies have some incredible stories too. Lots of hope over there and it sounds like that's just what you need. Please stick around and join us...we're all fighting this beast.

I think the tamoxifin had something to do with it along with the chemo I was on, My neurologist said I had the blood vessels of a 65 year old woman, and said it was probably from the chemo I was on, the tamoxifin didn't help either and I think that is one of the side effects of the tamoxifin

My dear - your suffering touches my heart.

God isn't done with you yet.

Life is his gift to you and you were given it back several times for a very special reason. I hope you discover what it is.
