ok now dont leave us southerers out when it comes to the alcohol party,,uhh I mean get together.
MB-ok I must admit I got a good laugh out of the wine in the styrofoam cup. I have been camping and not had wine glasses and drank it out of plastic so I can totally understand. After the first few glasses it doesnt really matter whats its in anyway.
Radiboop-congrats on the new job.
Amy -
just drink it out of the bottle is my motto!
-
TGIF - ready for a stiff one.
Donna - concert sounded like a great time - Martina McBride is going to be in Wichita on May 27th - thinking of going, since she is a Kansas girl also.
Randi - glad to hear you found your dream job. My dream job is not working, (drinking) while playing golf, and traveling.
Amy - didn't mean to leave you southeners out - you can party with us anytime.
Love your motto Robin -

Jaybird -
Almost 2:30am, catching up with all my girls... worked late, few glasses of wine and now ready for bed....
Love to you all! -
Hope you all had a few drinks for me yesterday!
Cinco De Mayo is as good of an excuse if any to have a drink!
Went to the beach this weekend and would have been great to sit around a roaring fire and have a few drinks! I can still imagine it though!
Randi, Glad you got a great job!
Janis, how's the little one doing? Would love to see pics of you both!
My test results are do in Monday night and I see the onc on Tuesday to find out about the leasions on the liver. Praying it's B9 and they can figure out how to stop the pain. I'll check back in whenI know more.
In the mean time someone have a good stiff drink for me!
Cheers! Love you all -
Holy smokes, 129 pages on drinking and BC? I'm so happy to find you ladies! My DH is down on drinking and always has been (teetotaler and AA since before we met 10+ years ago) but always (barely) tolerated my love for beer. I switched to wine after we got tired of recycling all the bottles. Now with the horrible BC DX he is down on me even harder. He's a sweetie but a nice glass (bottle) of merlot sure takes the sting out of losing my hair etc. My onc picked my treatment knowing I would drink a bit through it. And I feel just fine so far-working, going to the gym, and having my wine on occasional days. I have a positive outlook and don't dwell on my diagnosis, and I would sure hate to give up on one of my favorite pleasures (or any of them for that matter). Carry on ladies- you're all the awesome!
-
Welcome Soviet! If your onc says you can drink then, by golly, you can drink! No judgement here, okay?
Cheers!

No new pics of Miss Avery - maybe after Mother's Day?
Sending good thoughts out to you for B9!!! I'm SURE there is some drug out there to manage your pain.
Jaybird -
Hey Soviet- welcome, as said before NO judging here. We live and let live and encourage a happy time doing it!
Hi Girlfriends- hope you all had a great weekend, mine doesn't start until Sat afternoon and lasts thru Tues pm, so far, so good. Cardinals game tomorrow night, hope they can get our of their, well understood (los of a team-mate) slump. -

Welcom Soviet!
I need a bottle of tequila! I could drink the whole thing at this rate!. They freakin' LOST my biospy! and I have to redo it! ugh! That means another week of giving myself shots! I'm so mad!
Janis, I will pm you with my email addy if you'd like it.
I think of Avery everytime I see my granddaughter Cloe! -
Okay - I'm so fricken sick of rain I need a drink. If you haven't seen the news lately we had a whole town wiped out by a tornado. My home town has been flooding. I went back home to help my siblings pump water out of my parents basement this weekend. Luckily we just had the estate sale two weeks ago so didn't loose any property. My younger brother is buying the house and has been doing some remodeling so he hadn't moved in yet. My sis hasn't had electricity since Friday night so she has been camped out at my parents house without furniture - anyways - just wanted to bitch!! Cheers
-
CY - wtf - what did they do with your biopsy - how can they loose that???
-
(((Sam))) Here's hoping the frickin' rain stops SOON!!!
Jaybird -
so, I go away for a few days and now can't keep up with all the posts!! Welcome to the new names I see posting!!!
Sam--we're getting the rain, too--sick of it! We live high enough to not worry about house flooding, but if we leave and drive down in the valleys, we have to be cautious. I'll want to hear about Deadwood--never been there. I know it is nothing like Las Vegas, but it will be fun! Play some 3-card poker for me!! LOL!
Donna--the zoo just got more interesting! Last few evenings, just after dark, we hear the most inhumane animal screams--we think it is mountain lions...thinking I will learn to shoot hubby's pistol--and, almost ready to move back to big city!!!
And, Christine--we've got a new grandbaby coming St Louis way--maybe we'll make it up there more often and and have more chances to meet up again!!!
hugggssss, all--my ML is getting hot--gonna have one more cold one!!! -
The word I got today is during a shift change someone set something on top of it and it got "trown away" there is nothing to be salvaged! I told them I want to take the next one to pathology myself!
Sorry to hear about all the flooding! Living in the rainy city I can relate to not wanting to see any more rain! Glad it doesn't flood at my house but it does at my daughters!
Hope everyone stays high and dry! -
Cheryl - like Sam said, WTF? That totally sucks. ((HUGS)) to you.
I too am SICK TO DEATH of the rain. We actually had about 20 minutes of sunshine when I got off work yesterday WooHoo! Streets all over Tulsa are flooded.
I think my monitor on my PC at home has shot craps! GRRR! It's not even 3 years old!
Junie - mountain lions? Are you SURE you live in Arkansas? I do love Eureka Springs. BF and I were there about a year ago and stayed at the New Orleans (or guess I should say we almost got kicked out because we were too loud - whatever.)
Everyone take care and try to stay dry, stay away from mountain lions, and take your own biopsies to pathology.
Cheers,
Donna -
Oh my, I recieved the most beautiful afgan tonight! I haven't been able to stop crying since I got home. I think this is the most I've cried since my dx in Oct of 05. Guess I had a lot pent up in there! I can't wait to meet so many of you at Pinkstock and give you all a real live hug & hopefully share a drink too!
The head nurse is taking me personally to deliver this biopsy! I will not let go of it until someone signs their life away for it! I still hurt from the one last week for pete's sake!
Ok I'm taking my crying fool head to bed I have to do the pre test in the morning! -
Janis -
Here's a kick in the butt...I registered for the 39 mile walk today! Soooooooooooooooooooo...I really don't want to walk alone, soooooooooooooooooooo I need you to raise the $1800 so we can walk together!
Girls -
Cheer Janis on...(well I need cheering also, but Janis was here first - LOL)
Please, wish us both luck!
Cheers! -

Okay, I'm just gonna throw this out there ~
My home is open for any and all women here who need a get-away from whatever! I have two dogs but they're cool so bring your pooch if you need to! (No cats - sorry!) I have two 'spare' bedrooms (and some spare Ambien as everyone here gets up early! ) so no problems there. The Summertime is the BEST time to visit Chicago so, Ladies, my doors are open! All I need is a week's notice, okay? It's always casual here!
Enjoy your afghan!

Yea Laura!!! Unfortunately, everyone I know is poor! But, I'm working on fundraising.....
See ya on June 2nd! (my pup tent mate!)
Jaybord -
Junie-
Go on line and find a sound-clip for what a peacock sounds like. Maybe the floods chased someone's pet out away from home. I have never in my life heard more blood curdling sounds in my life than a peacock can make. It sounds like a woman being killed...and LOUD! They tend to make a lot of noise right at dark when they perch in a tree for the night...
Let us know what you find out.
Deb C -
I'm home and tired but the biopsy went better than last time. Going to go curl up with my afgan and try to rest I'm exhausted!
Janis & anyone else doing the walks I pray that you get lots of donations!
Cheers! -
huggssss, Deb--a great suggestion and I will see what I can find! You're right--I never thouht about that....was just zeroed in on someone saying that someone else had seen mountain lions in the area and we haven't seen any deer in the yard for ages and someone told someone that when the deer go away it's because of mountain lions in the area...LOL...and friends said they saw a mountain lion a couple weeks ago, when they left our house!
gimme the bright city lights!!!!
Tons more rain today--think toadstools could bloom in my house--prayers to all dealing with flooding--what a mess...we had such a thunderstorm this afternoon--it went from horrible to plain awesome! The thunder just rolls through the hills here; all rumbly and grumbly--I love it 'til it gets a little too close for comfort, then I retreat inside!! More coming later tonight--hope I'm sound asleep--I know--I'll have one more ML! That will help! I sure do love you guys!!! -
