Loving my prosthesis

I got my amoena prosthesis and a few new bras today - I felt so good with my restored shape, I hated to take it off!

I still have a teeny tiny unhealed area from my mastectomy, but I feel so damn good these days, I don't care if I have to wear a band-aid forever

    After all you've been through this is an achievement!
    Glad you're feeling good. I think looking at yourself in the mirror and seeing something normal is a big boost.

    I love my prosthesis too! Her name is Martha because the "orginals" were named Betty Jo and Bobby Jo. Since "Bobby Jo" had to leave, we had to find a stepsister...so that's where Martha came in. (My surgeon cracked up the first time I mentioned my boobs' names and ever since, he calls them by name for my follow ups. He says he's never quite met anyone like me! Hey, if we can't have fun with it, then what can we do?

    Had my right breast mastectomy 24 days ago and things are grand! I'm glad everyone feels like I do...a complete woman.
    I start chemo tomo rrow so wish me luck! I don't mind losing my hair (got a FABULOUS wig) but I don't want to toss my cookies all the time...if you know what I mean.

    Charge on, Girls! We're in this together and we are going to be victorious!

    That's so funny it actually made me laugh.I'm glad you take things so well and can be happy. I Hate mine or really can't get used to it. It bothers me. Feels heavy.!!! :/ I'm glad you're happy with yours.
