Kim,
Your family is absolutely beautiful, and YOU are just radiant! I am happy that you all had a wonderful party and Nicky had a good time. These are the days memories are made from.
& I love your hair, I went back to highlighting mine and after looking at yours am wondering if I should of stayed natural.
God Bless
Linda -
Oops forgot to welcome Kathy, so welcome Kathy!
This is a great place to come for reassurance, get accurate info, and also just to connect with stage IIIers.
These ladies are great and we've all " been there "
Take care & God Bless
Linda -
OMG, thank you Linda! I hate my hair. I was always blonde with long straight hair. Everyone in the family wants to make me feel better and tells me the hair is fine etc, but you know, I just don't always believe them b/c we are so close, kwim? Anyway, I'm keeping the hair short for the summer & keeping the brown for now. I just don't see the point in spending a ton of money anymore with the constant highlighting etc. I've got gray now, though, so something will give in a year or two to cover that up!
Thanks again,
Kim -
Kim, What lovely pictures of you and your family. And I think your hair looks great too. I can't even imagine you blonde!
-
VV-good news on the clean margins. Great pictures!
Kim-you look great! Those are great family pictures.
Welcome Kathy-pretty soon you will be like us, talking about things going on AFTER you get done with your treatment. You'll be finished before you know it!
Bugs-how was the interview?
Heidi -
My sister was just dx with stage III cancer. I am so glad I found this site and to know you are all living wonderful and full lives. Thank you for you support.
-
Kim, those are great pictures. Your kids are absolutely adorable.... beautiful family! I like your hair, too!
Miss S -

Thanks for sharing your pics.... loved the pink shirts. Nice and bright. It looks like you had a wonderful time. You look great, as does your handsome hubby!
Miss S -
Beautiful pics, Kim! I like your hair, too. Mine is unruly curly...I can't figure out what to do with it.
Heidi, the interview went great. Hopefully, they think so too, lol. I will keep you guys posted. I do know that this would be a pretty hefty pay cut, but more chances for advancement and better benefits. I'm trying not to put the cart before the horse on this, but also wondering "should I stay or should I go" (who sings that?). The job I am in now can be very stressful and the owner can be a creep (to put it bluntly). The company I am at is also struggling financially. Ugh..
Take care,
Bugs
(who is going to take some pics at bball practice tonight to share) -
Thank you all. You really help my self esteem. I worry about the dumbest stuff sometimes. You have really helped me feel more comfy in my own skin (or hair)!
Bugs, my hair was curly & unruly until about 4 or 5 months ago. Then all the sudden it straightened out. Most of you will remember how I complained and complained about the curl? Now I miss it. That wash and go was the best!
For all of you who didn't know me as a blonde, this was taken at Bella's 2nd birthday party one month before my dx. I was oblivious of bc back then...those were the days...
(That's my oldest Peter peeking into the left side of the picture)
Kim -
Kim, You have a beautiful family and you look like the picture of terrific health and hair!
Linda, thanks, this is a great place to come to for reasurance.
Heidi, Can`t wait either to be done with my chemo. 5 cays after chemo I feel almost like myself.
Hugs and thanks to all,
Kathy -
Kim - great pics!! My hair was long and blond, down past my shoulders, now it is brown and short! I do love how easy it is though!!
Kathy - you'll get through chemo before you know it..it is one year since I started and I don't know where the time went.
Veronica - great pics also..I am doing my first "Walk" on Mother's Day with my family in Phila...can't wait!
Have a great night girls!
Beth -
Beth,
We're all doing the Philly race, too. I think there are 20 of us. You'll have to look for us! I know, with 100,000 people there, how will you find us? We have banners that say "Ferranto Five" and "Feel Your Boobies". So, if you see us, come up and introduce yourself! Kim -
Welcome to Kathy.
Kim and Victoria great pics! Kim your bron hair suits you. Don't go back.
Fists up! -
How long do you have to wait until it is safe to color your hair?
Miss S -
Kin, What a great photo. Your children are adorable! Carol
-
Kim,
Hi! I will look for you next Sunday! I am trying to figure out how to post a picture here so hopefully I will be able to do it before next weekend!
HAve a great day!
Beth -
Hi all,
well the bike race for the cure is over down here and $200.000 was raised for the Cancer Society!!!
I did not race, the start time was really late ( 10 am ) and people were falling like flies as the temp and humidity was really high. But my dh, my bil, and his girl friend did and I am proud of them. I was on the sidelines.
Next year I'll participate as they are talking about either having it earlier in the yr or earlier in the day and I'll definitely be off Heceptin by then !( my onc has had me on for 18 mos now !)
Kim and Beth have a great time on Sunday, I'll be thinking of you!
Linda -
I hope you don't mind but I wanted to post a picture of my daughter at the Special Olympics last Saturday. She won a gold medal in the 50 yard dash and she was so thrilled. I love to see the pix posted of you all and your families so I thought you might not mind if I posted one. Watching these children compete was so inspirational, it makes my problems seem small. This is my daughter, Allie. -
Carol,
Please tell your daughter Allie Congrats for me that is
a wonderful picture and something for both of you to be
very proud of.
Jeanette -
Carol...you and I share the same name as do our daughters. I have a daughter Allison, that everyone calls Ali.
There is nothing that warms a mother's heart more than the accomplishments of our children. She looks thrilled!
Carol -
Carol,
How wonderful for your entire family! Thanks for sharing with us! Go Allie! -
Victoria - I love the pictures. Thanks for sharing. Karen
-
Linda - it is so inspiring your family participated in the race!!
Carol - congrats to Allie, what a great accomplishment, that is what life is all about!!!!
HAve a good day, Ladies!! -
Carol, that is awesome for Allie!!! She must have been thrilled. Way to go, Allie!!!!
Kim -
Congratulations, Allie!! I have never won a gold medal!
Take care,
Bugs -
Life is great!! I had another interview with the same place on Friday and (I think) it went well. Let's hope they agree
Some friends and I got together to power scrapbook last night (and again today) and as we speak I have done 7 layouts!! I am working on Gabe's school book and all I can do is THANK GOD he is only in 3rd grade, lol. I *may* just catch up!
Have a great weekend ladies!
Bugs -
Thanks for all the Congratulations for Allie and Happy Mother's Day to all! Carol
-
Nice pics guys!
Carol1220, my son is in Special Olympics too! He is only 13 so is not as active as some of the adults. He hasn't competed yet, but I can't wait.
Fists up!
