Purely for Fun
When I'm not spending all my free time reading posts on this board, I like to use the 'stumble' tool found at the link above. This little bit of software adds a button to your web browser, asks for general areas of interest, and then lets you wander around the web to new sites as you click the 'stumble' button. The sites it brings up are pre-selected by popular vote by all who went before you -- and you get to vote on them too. By voting, you help the program refine the selection tool to add or remove more sites like the ones you enjoy. This is one of the 'nets interesting ideas--you'd have a hard time finding this many good sites in so short a time...but it's addictive!

It gets good reviews and is a lot more fun than it sounds!

"Next time you want to wander the Web, forget about Googling it. Stumble it."
The Wall Street Journal

"Stumbleupon is a brilliant downloadable toolbar that beds into your browser and gives you the chance to surf through thousands of excellent pages that have been stumbled upon by other web-users"
BBC World

"Ranked one of the 100 Best Products of the Year. When you click a toolbar button in Firefox, it will transport you to a random site that fits your preferences."
PC World

Thanks BBS. I forgot completely about it when I sent the laptop out to be repaired. They repaired it alright---they also erased everything in my computer! I'll put it back in.
Not that I need to be addicted to anything else. LOL
