Linda, sounds like the reunion will be a blast! I love stuff like that.
LMAO about capturing the Easter Bunny!! One of my twin mommies said her son ask if zombies were real? then asked if Jesus was a Zombie. LOL.
One week until we leave for Disney! No egg hunt tomorrow because we have snow! Bummer. -
I just wanted to let you know that all of you woman are amazing.I am fairly new to this group. And just listening
to you gives me so much hope that my life will go on. I have
a son that is going to be 21 next week and one son that is
13. The oldest is still at home but goes to school and works.I am also very involved in my youngest ones school and
church and after reading this today I am ready to get up and do more. Atleast until next chemo. Everyone have a wonderful Easter.
Jeanette -
Hi Jeannette...sorry you joined us, but glad you found our thread and it was inspiring. I'm inspired every day by my cyber friends here.
Janis, we had flurries yesterday and I was disgusted by it...Easter is warm, short sleeves, summery dresses. Today I wore black to Mass! I think I wore the same pants on Christmas. I can't believe how wacky the weather is!
Well, we've gotten through another Easter without my oldest Peter (11) asking for more information on the Easter Bunny. So far so good. I'll be so sad once the miracles of the seasons disappear. It truly is a wonderful feeling to be able to have these small miracles happen for the kids. I love Santa, Easter Bunny, and the tooth fairy. I just hope when he figures it all out, that he keeps it to himself and doesn't spoil it for his brother and sister! I know my sis ruined it for me when I was little. Just another way she "shared" everything in life, including supporting me in my breast cancer journey.
Hope everyone is having a blessed day.
Kim -
Great thread - just found it. It is so much fun to read what is happening in other people's lives. Wishing everyone who celebrates a Happy Easter!!! On day I will post more.
Karen in denver -
Sherri,
LOL
Nothing like watching hot guys doing manual labor! sigh....it makes me "think" about having sex again but...oh..nevermind...
Karen -
Hi girls, I go for my three month check up next Wednesday and I can feel my blood pressure creeping up already. I have so many other things to worry about, but I always manage to think about it at some point during the day!!!
Heidi -
Good luck on Wednesday, Heidi. I bet all is well.
Yes Janis, great pics. The boys are getting bigger and more handsome!
I had normal bloods and a negative bone scan this month so am feeling very NEDDY these days.LOL.
Fists up! -
Gotta love that NED! Glad all went well for you, Mary-
Anne.
Heidi, hugs and calm thoughts for you for Wednesday's appt.
Sherri...how are those guys doing? I mean..how is the construction coming along?
Victoria, you have been quiet. Did you get lost in a box while unpacking?
Take care,
Bugs
(first baseball practice is tomorrow eve!) -

Cindy -
Victoria,
I will be thinking and praying for you.
Hang in there and let us know.
Linda -
Okay, I've been out for a few days, so busy with the kids. I missed so much. Victoria, first and foremost, I have you in my prayers and am hoping that you are feeling up to letting us know how things went today asap. I've got my fingers and toes crossed. Stage III....
Heidi, how did your appt go? Tell us all about Ned! I know you are still dating, but need your assurance.
I will look into this PM problem I'm having. Sorry!
Kim
Okay, I figured it out...I'm open to PM's again, woohoo! -
Victoria,
I hope your surgery went well. I love your fighting spirit, it gives me the strength to continue.
Love, peace and hugs
Kelly -
Hi Victoria,
Will be thinking of you and hoping for clean margins for you.I love this thread - have never posted but I always read it. Carol -
Victoria-sorry you have to go through this again. Praying for clean margins!!!
Happy Neddy Mary!!!
My appointment is THIS wednesday. First I have to go to the hand fixin' place as my son calls it-I need a new gauntlet for my lympedema hand. Then to the onc.
Is Janis back from Disney yet??
I will let you know on Wednesday!
Heidi -
My appointment went well today. I am clear!!! So clear I now don't have to go for four months since I am at 2 1/2 years.
Tell me if the rest of you are like this: I had a heck of a time picking out what to wear to my appt: I couldn't wear black because I wore that to the bad mammo. I couldn't wear green because I wore that when I was diagnosed and told I needed chemo. Am I weird or what????
I had to go from a gauntlet to a glove and it really hurts my hand. My fingers were swelling instead of my knuckles. I got that today too.
We are going away this weekend. Now I can go and relax and not worry.
Have a good weekend everyone!
Heidi -
Great news, Heidi. That's funny..I don't remember what I was wearing when diagnosed. However, the clothes I wore during chemo are hard to put on. Have a great weekend away!
Victoria? Waiting impatiently for good news....
Take care,
Bugs -
Hi Everyone,
Heidi, Congratulations on the great news, have a great weekend!
V V- I love your name, Victoria Veronica! Have a great trip to Hawaii, it's such a beautiful place. I haven't been there in years but took a helicopter tour of Kuaui when I was there last. It was spectacular. Now you can really enjoy it after your good news. -
V- AWESOME NEWS!! Keep us posted on your meeting with the rads onc. Hawaii? Would love to go there! Have a great time
I have tomorrow off and I think I am going to go garage saling! Ahh, I love spring, hehe. On Monday I have a phone interview with a company I have been ACHING to get in to. Wish me luck!!
Take care,
Bugs -
Great News!! I love it, I'll be raising my red wine glass tonight to you Miss VV!
Have a blast in Hawaii.
Linda -
I have really enjoyed catching up with what is going on with everyone. Glad to hear that Victoria is doing well. I hope she has a good and fun trip and the same for Janice.
It has been almost a month since I checked this site but I have been so busy lately and my kids are all grown. But my little 6 year old grandaughter is playing t-ball so it all starts all over again.
My 21 year old daughter is a Jr. in college and around Easter, she and her boyfriend of 2 1/2 yrs. broke up and she was really hurting. We all just sort of figured he would be the one she would marry, but God has other plans for her life and she just has to accept that. It may be for the best since she is going to London in July for a month to do a Study Abroad Program and now she won't have to feel guilty for going for so long. I can tell though when I talk with her that she is still having a rough time with it. She comes home this Saturday for the summer.
I am feeling pretty well and don't go back to the onc. until June 1. I expect good reports but I am going to ask for a bone scan just for my peace of mind.
I have 4 weeks left of school and then I am off for the summer. Our students can't wait either. We are all ready to get out of school.
I will try to stay more in touch. I do miss all of you.
God Answers Prayers
Teresa44 -
Teresa - we missed you...glad that you checked in.
VV - have a great trip. I am so jealous.
Heidi - glad that the appt went well. I don't have the clothes issue, I just hate getting on that darn scale. My Onc appts are every 3 months, next one in May. I still get unbelievably nervous. Still think every pain or headache is mets, but don't say anything b/c don't want anyone to know I worry so much.
Heidi - I did an event with Leigh Hurst (remember her from Paint Harrisburg Pink?) Thurs night in West Chester. Two seniors were doing a breast cancer awareness activism project and asked feelyourboobies to come & sell merchandise. It was a blast & I really think that I'm going to stick with this org. I really like Leigh & am happy to be her assistant.
Tonight is Nicky's First Holy Communion. Big deal for us. He is so excited and I am too. Big party afterward at a local Italian eatery. We have 70+ people coming. I can't wait!
Have a great weekend everyone
Kim -
Hi ladies,
I have my last radiation treatment on Monday, and then they set me free.....yikes!
I was offered to have my job back yesterday, had my position eliminated not long after diagnosis, and after reconsidering the situation, they've decided to offer it to me again. I'm torn, but through prayer I know I'll come up with the right answer.
Have my first follow up with onco on May 17th, and ovary removal on May 7th (only have one left, so what the heck?).
Kim, I totally know about the every little pain thing. I think we all do. I have this shoulder that pings and dings and makes funny noises like that, and I just hate it. It's done it since before my diagnosis, but can't help but thinking the worst, you know?
Take care ladies...have a wonderful weekend!
Pegs -
Hey Miss VV,
Loved the pictures. It's so great and so moving to participate in these events. I loovvvvveeee to walk !

Peg, Congratulations on your last rad tx. I am on # 11 today.
Linda, Good luck on the bike ride. I am just jealous that you are in the Bahamas. -
Victoria-Awesome pics and YOU look the picture of health and happiness! It looks like there was a great turnout at the walk.
Peg-Congrats on the last rads!! My rad techs gave me this cute little graduation certificate. They were so sweet.
Kim-How did the party go?
I have my interview this afternoon. Cross your fingers and toes!!
Take care
Bugs -
Victoria, Terrific pictures. I am new to this but I have been reading about all of you wonderful ladies for over a month. I have stage 3a breast cancer tumer size 1.5, 6 nodes involved and her-. Had my first ac and a little foggie, but ok. I do enjoying reading this thread. Thanks to all of you ladies.
Hugs,
Kathy -
Victoria or should I say Veronica??
Thanks for posting the pics from the BC walk. You look fantastic! How are you doing? I continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
Wishing you a wonderful trip to Hawaii. -
Kathy,
I'm glad that you finally posted...sorry that you joined us. I so remember that foggy feeling with a/c. We all remember it, don't we girls? If you have any questions, fire away because these girls have so much knowledge of what goes on during and after surgery, chemo, and rads that you shouldn't be in the dark on anything.
Bugs, our party was FANTASTIC! Nicky beamed all afternoon and evening. He was very gracious to our guests and showed up in every photo that everyone took through the night. It was a hoot. He looked so handsome in his suit. I was so proud of him and my other two because they were all so sweet. I'm going to post a picture of the three of them. Now, you know I'm not very good with this, but here goes.

Kim
