Orange Peel Skin

Mine came about very quickly, in a matter of a few days. It did not look as prominent as some pictures that I've seen on IBC websites but it had that distinctive orange peel look. Particularly after I exercised.

Another feature that really got my notice was the indentation my underwire bra was making on my breast. It was similar to marks one might get from a sock when there is edema present around the ankle. I think that is what got me to the Dr. right away.

I had the orange peel affect, but not until a few days after diagnosis. Prior to that my breast was swollen, red, and warm. Within a few days of diagnosis it became more swollen and that's when the orange peel affect began. Mine was also not as prominent as pictures I've seen, it was a little dimply.
