Waiting Room Poetry

Recently, my friend (who also happens to be my social worker) gave me some writing assignments and examples of journal entries, etc. One of the examples I read was about using the letters of the alphabet to write a poem. For example, the first line begins with A, the second with B, etc. I have done it on several different occasions with different thoughts and emotions. Yesterday, when waiting in the breast imaging center between mammo and ultrasound, I composed the following. Just thought you might like to read it. Pam
Again I arrive
breasts ready to be
clamped
down
ever so tightly
fearful that
God may
have more
in store for me.
Just sitting here
keeping quiet
lifting silent prayers to heaven
making certain He understands
now is not the time to
open another can of worms
Praying that no matter what
quick will be the
resolution
Saying to myself
"Time is of the essence"
Understanding if
very bad things happen, the
will of God can be glorified.
Xrays again.
You get used to it but
zest for living decreases.

P.S. got "abnormal" results on mammo and ultrasound. scheduled for an MRI in 2 weeks. All is well.

"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills
be removed, yet My unfailing love for you will not
be shaken nor My covenant of peace be removed"
says the Lord ,who has compassion on you.

What a perfect verse for me today!! This only confirms what we already know. God put us together for a reason, if only to communicate his word to each other! I love you sweet "Aunt Puppy!" Pam -
(((Pam)))...abnormal mammogram...I will keep you in my prayers...every day!
Love and hugs
Vickie -
thank you Vicki... but it will be fine. Doc and Radiologist both feel it is "fatty necrosis" which sounds yucky to me. why does everything have to be about fat? Must follow protocol "just in case". I am tired. thank you for your prayers! pam
