Here's your Dove chocolate, all I could find was milk chocolate hope that's okay. -
Thanks, Kats, milk chocolate is my favorite - although I try to eat dark once in awhile because its better for us.
Nancy - great cartoon!! Nothing wrong with sticking your head in the sand once in awhile!! I posted that it was 4 years ago for me that i started chemo over under the newly diagnosed thread. Add your good news, too, if you'd like.
When I was first diagnosed and thought I had about a day to live I loved to hear about others going through it and surviving.
All of us '03ers have our 4th anniversary this year... which means we are starting our FIFTH year of being survivors!!
Take care, everyone. I'll be on the computer later... but can we get into the chat room?
Barb -
Hi Everyone,
Please let me know where to find you later tonight!I want very much to celebrate your FOUR year anniversary and remember when we first met, Barb, in Cold Spring...along with Sunshine, Susie and Arlette, Rosebud, Fleur, Phyllis, Denisa, Leelee, Lilee, Patti, Marinza, Laura, Velma, and dear Ann....I think that's everyone!
I've just celebrated my 5th anniversary and am always ready for a party! I do think dark chocolate is one of the basic food groups, isn't it...so I'll bring some from our recent trip to Switzerland.
love to all,
Carol -
i was bad. i stopped at the store during lunch today and picked up a bar of: Lindt 75% dark chocolate; cote d'or noir orange chocolate; suisse bittersweet with hazelnuts chocolat noir aux noisettes; dagoba organic lavender chocolate; dagoba organic xocolatl.
bad bad bad good! -
I just tried to get into the chat rooms. I had to change my log in slightly - but it worked. Should we meet there?
Barb -
I just tried to get into the chat and couldn't...and I'm guessing you're all there.
So, just know I'm thinking about you and eating several pieces of this great chocolate in honor of the gathering. Sorry not to be able to share it!! But you know, I meant to!
XO Carol -

celebrating with you in spirit
happy 4th nancy and barb

How did I miss all this?????
I tried to get into chat and can't !! But you are probaly all full of chocolate and wine and off to bed by now!! I should be asleep too! Congrats on 4 years ladies!!! Hard to believe! I will come back and read this thread more carefully and give an update--spent too much time trying to get in chat rooms and i am up way to late tonight!!
Love and hugs to all my 2003 sisters!
Wendy -
Don't worry , ladies, you didn't miss anything.... unless people started gathering after I had left. I had to change my log in name to get into chat and then I went to the stay connected room. maybe I did it wrong , but noone was there. We'll have to give it a try another time.
Have a great day , everyone!
Barb -
I also started here in 03 but for my mom - she was dxed in May 2003 and I came here for info for here...met lots of nice people and we've gone to a couple get-togethers which are fun....it's hard to find the "old" people that wrote to me in the beginning..glad to see this thread and glad to meet "new" people....

Damn girls,

Class of 03 here. Still kickin and riding my Harley. Have become involved with a bunch of Harley ridin breast cancer survivors. Still come here though not as frequently as I'd like. Read more than I post.
Love to all my 03 Sistas!!

I am so pleased to hear from everyone! You all mean so much to me. 4 Years! I can't believe it! Look at us now! I have had my ups and downs, like everyone, but I never thought I would be doing so well--back in the day when we were fighting for our lives! Hugs to all! Rosebudd

Love to all! -
I'm here, i'm here!! Can't believe i missed a party...still have my scares and issues, looking at a hysterectomy in June, either that or biopsies everytime i bleed and ultrasounds every other month-no thanks! Great to see you all-don't post much anymore, just a lurker every now and again. There are so many forums now-not like it was back in '03.
Hugs to everyone!
Jill -
Jill,
How great to hear from you! I think of you often. I'm sorry you have to have another surgery - but you'll like getting that period bit over with! I haven't had a period since my second chemo - I was 43. I don't miss it at all!
Rose, Stacey... its so good to see some familiar names.
Barb -
Hi, everyone,
I'm in the class of '03...dx in Sept. I can't believe that this coming Sept. will mark 4 years. All of the bad stuff...surg, chemo, rads...now are distant memories. In Nov. '05, I had BL DIEP recon and finished in Mar.'6. Since that, life has gotten back to normal. I still have a few aches and pains from Arimidex, but it's very tolerable. Life is good. I'm very thankful for every healthy day that I have. I'm glad to hear that so many of you are doing well.
I didn't post when I first had treatments...just lurked a lot. I later registered when I was learning about recontruction.
Hugs to everyone,
Trish -
Hi,
I'm from 2003 - my mom was dxed in May and I came around the summer to get info for her - of course I had to screen it all first
I miss hearing about you all - I'm not here as much anymore but everyone is in my heart - old and new - hopefully we can get together again soon - Mystic and Woodstock were great!
Love Marisa -
OMG WHAT AN IDIOT I AM...I DON'T HAVE CHEMO BRAIN-I HAVE BLOND BRAIN....I ALREADY REPLIED HERE BEFORE WITH ALMOST THE SAME MESSAGE....hehehehe
-
Wow, Emelee, that's too bad. They say chemo-brain can improve...
-
Yes..but I never had chemo - my mom had the cancer (no chemo either though) - I'm just hear to gather info and support for her..hehehe
