Oh and hey, today was DonnaKF's bi-lat MRI. Some of us know they are no fun and at the least, emotionally draining. Well wishes and only good results!
-
Well, cheers to Donna then! It's scotch for me tonight as I worked the late shift and Avery is staying at my aunt's house and that means I can drown my sorrows...
On an up note, I have a job interview Tuesday afternoon (I SO frickin' hope I get it as it's "normal" hours), and another job I applied for might still be open and I'll find out more about that one on Tuesday, too. Karma - I only hope what I'm putting out comes back to me positively! All I want is a decent paying 9-5, M-F job! Why are they so hard to come by?
Again, cheers to all you lovely ladies!
Jaybird -
Yep, had the MRI yesterday. Spent over an hour in the tube. (it was my first MRI).
Won't know anything for a couple of days, but I appreciate the well wishes, and I really expect it to indicate NED.
Janis - like I mentioned before, I've never stained anything other than clothing, so I need all the tips I can get! Anything else you'd like to share is appreciated, and maybe you DO need to get your butt down here with a paintbrush!
Hope everyone has a great day! I'll keep you ABREAST on my MRI results. (couldn't resist)
Cheers,
Donna -
Glad to hear the MRI went as planned and looking forward to hearing you are still NED.
Amy -
Well Donna you can know sheck the MRi off your list of I've never done that!
Hope it comes back NED
Janis, Praying that you get a great job offer. It's so nice to have regular hours when you have a little one at home. Bet she's growing in leaps and bounds!
Amy, better watch out for Mazer I think she's been eyeing you beer again!
Where's Lini?
Lot's of others are missing too?????
I should be working on the taxes but just too tired to think real hard.
love to all -
Donna, staining the new deck...we use a power painter...goes much faster...and you know we are all thinking NED
Janis..good luck with finding a "normal" job, you are right they are hard to come by...and being a mom you need good hours...I'll keep you in my thoughts...
ok after work I must go get my wine...all out and thats against the Dr orders...
tkae care and cheers
MB -
Hi ladies,
Just popping in quick at work wishin I had a drink in hand. Been a long day.
Donna...sending you best wishes for a perfect MRI.
Janis...hope you find a new and better job soon. Sending hugs to you and Avery...do we have any new pictures?
Miss Lini...where are you? Hope your in your flip flops enjoying some sunshine. Still gray and cold here...wish spring would hurry up.
Hi to CY, Christine...oh heck...everyone!
Hugs all around
Vickie -
Yeah...where's lini...needing an update on some warm temperatures...hmmm...my flip flops are covered in snow...
MB -
UGH! Snow again!!!!! Luckily, my commute to work today didn't take too much longer than normal as I go against the flow most of the way. For most, though, traffic this morning was a nightmare. We were told rain, not snow!
Anyway, I'm enjoying some wine as Avery crashed out early this evening. My aunt (a two time BC survivor, and she had thyroid cancer, too!) sent some cute summer outfits and I started bawling because my aunt really doesn't have any extra money and she sent things anyway! I feel so blessed that I have Avery in my life and that she's so damn adorable! I guess good thing DO come to those who wait.
My mom is currently in PHX visiting said aunt and totally enjoying the weather out there. I must say it's very tempting to just pick up and move to a warmer climate. If I don't get a new, better paying, job soon I just might do that!
Cheers! Here's to Spring returning - very soon!

Donna, unless you're having better weather there than here I'm staying here. But, if I ever get a normal job with normal hours and paid Monday holidays I'll certainly drive out there for a long weekend! How fun!!!
Jaybird -
Janis- I'll be in Chicago 4/20-22 the snow best be gone by then. I froze last yr at the Cards/Cubs game and hoping to look a lil cuter this yr.
BTW- what is is normal job or work hrs, I have never, since I've been 12, had weekends off. I guess that what sucks about your family being in the restaurant biz!
Donna- left you a VM, call when you can.
MB, check is coming this week. I wish it was at least July!
Vickie- I am sure hoping you are on the Pinkstock list, bring Nathan, we'd have a great time.
Amy and CY are either of you going to PS in Aug? -
I already have my tickets to fly to Pinkstock. Now I just need to come up with the money for a couple of night hotel and car rental. Hubby is coming with me so we can celebrate our anniversary at Niagira Falls!
Well taxes are still calling my name and all my reports I can run tonihgt are done so I best be getting to them. Or maybe I'll just go to bed and start again tomorrow night
Cheers! -
WOOO HOOO CHERYL!!! I'll look forward to meetin' in person!
-
Hey sistas ~
My MRI indicates NED in either breast! WooHoo! I didn't actually think it would show anything (I didn't have the gut feeling of dread like I did when originally dx).
Now I can relax and know that my last 2 mammos, which both indicated increases in microcalcs, but labeled "probably benign" actually ARE benign.
Now I don't have to dread Friday the 13th!
And on that news, I'd like to buy a round of drinks for everyone!!
Cheers,
Donna -
woohoo for Donna
Happy dance for you -
Wow Vickie - I'm impressed! Where do you find this stuff?
Too funny!!

Jaybird -

Cheers to everyone! -
Thinking about a drink but it's late and I should just go to bed.
Hope all are well! -
What we drink...
In a number of carefully controlled trials,
scientists have demonstrated
that if we drink 1 liter of water each day, at the
end of the year we would
have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli
(E. coli) bacteria found
in feces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo
of Poop.
However, we do not run that risk when drinking
wine (or rum, whiskey,
beer or other liquor) because alcohol has to go
through a purification
process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting.
Remember:
Water = Poop
Wine = Health
Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk
stupid, than to drink
water and be full of shit.
There's no need to thank me for this valuable
information; I'm doing it
as a public service. -

LOVE IT Sam!
Thanks my sistas for all the happy dances!!
Shel - great to see you! Please come back soon and have a drink (or two). Are you going to Pinkstock?
Better get back to the salt mines now....
Cheers,
Donna
