Diary and Red Clover
Does eating dairy foods change a woman's risk of BC? I am new to the site. I apolgies if this question has already been asked. Should I eliminate all diary products? Cheese? I love cheese. I have read some articles on red clover infusion. Is anyone using this method for BC? Is red clover good or bad for BC? If it is good, where can I buy dried herbs. Can I buy them at a local grocery store or health food store? Any info will be helpful. Thanks!

Mahogany...Maybe you should ask the Red Clover question over on the 'Alternative...' board. Also read some of those posts since they're really interesting and helpful. As for dairy, I guess the question is still somewhat controversial, but most seem to agree that limiting dairy is adviseable and would probably go further to say that milk and cheese should be organic (because of the hormones fed to cows and the pesticides in their feed) and, whenever possible, dairy should be of the low-fat and no-fat variety. I agree about cheese - it's my very favorite food - and, so, eat either organic cheese (from Whole Foods or a brand called 'Horizon') or low-fat Kraft's cheddar. I hate milk, so no problem there, but would use Horizon or rice milk if I needed some. I do enjoy half 'n half in my coffee though, so I buy it organic.
Hope this helps.... -

Hi Mahogany, I am new on this site too, and it is too hard to have read everything already posted. I too have read that red clover was good for b/c and was planning on trying it. It gets overwhelming when you read so much. I try to make a list of things and study on them. It is expensive too. I use flax meal/oil, IP6, tumeric and other standard vitamins.

Hey Juliehere,
There is a lot of info to digest. I haven't taken any red clover yet. I don't know where to buy it. I'm guessing a health food store. I've been eating organic ground flaxseed, onions, garlic, broccoli, tomatoes lots of salad, fruits, soybean and fish. I guess raw food is the best way and juicing. Exercising four hours or more a week is good too for BC. I walk around the neighbor with my friends or sisters. I heard these foods are good. I am sure there are more. I apologies if you read and heard all of this before. Breast cancer has been in the news so much lately. I also read any kind of diary is not good for BC. I don't know what is true or false. I guess you have to decide what's good for you for yourself. Thanks for your reply. I am feeling blue. My BC has returned. I am praying for healing and it hasn't spread. I also pray they find a cancer cure soon. I hope you have a bless weekend. I also hope we can talk, support one another, share info and maybe become friends.
