From Mary Trump:
-
Who knows, maybe he can spell Up Shit's Creek. I hope he gets charged up the ying-yang to the max.
-
Even more so since he increased the penalties. Oops.
-
Everyone with brain cells at the time knew pretty much how this was all going to turn out. I admit though, I was worried along the way -- when I wasn't irate and depressed about what was going on in our democracy.
-
Some forms of stupidity just feel hideous. Sure wish these people could get their info closer to 'right' because they are making it hard for people like me to hang on. Who knows, may be they know that and do it on purpose.
-
Anouther form of he same stupidity and Fox is the magnifying glass on it.

The whole grounds including all buildings has a chaotic look to it, and I think that is right down the Loon's alley. He thrives ususally in chaos and division. I've read lately ( don't know if it's true ) that a lot of the buildings and grounds are in dis-repair. Is that because the Loon is hoarding as much money as possible, or just that he chooses not to focus on his 'hone' at all.
-
Totally agree and your wallowing in it.
-
Okay, this is laying it on a little thick ut it is funny and I do think there is some truth as well.

Just sitting here finding memes because of my deep frustration. Of course I keep thinking it is coming, but how weary it feels at times to hear different news items. Like this afternoon hearing and reading that FBI have to be on the alert -- because of the Loon and the constant lies. The coded talk that produces actions in people who don't question and don't seem able even to extrapolate in any way the possibility of the aftermath of what they are doing.
Seems like they look on themselves as having the 'smarts' to be successful at their attemps for the Loon. Why haven't they even looked to see that he has taken everything they have and continues to do it and he hasn't really even given them ANYTHING. Are they in so deep they won't even consider that they maybe, just maybe they are being used. I'm not even sure at this point what distresses me most -- that they fall for it so un-wittingly or the fact it makes my life feel hard at times to live.
They do love as Sandy says -- whatever they can do to own we libs, but seems to me that anyone at some point will have a clarfying moment and rrealize they are getting nothing and in some cases, less then nothing. They don't question those who were loyal and tossed like M. Cohen. He is one of the fortunate ones -- he saw the handwriting early on and decided to do what it was going to take to try and re-capture whatever self respect he could for he and his family. I think he has done well. He can look people in the eye again and most importantly himself.
Anyway, at times it feels like a big weight -- waiting for some of the axes to fall. They are going in slow motion and while I understand the need it is still feeling like their is just a lot of weight still to carry and experience while we wait for the light of justice to even things out.
-
I made a movie! Enjoy.

Love that look you give after you take a drink from your cup. You have some talent here I think -- hmmm, some moonlighting, maybe.

Good job, mirianda!

THIS is quite troubling, but I will hope that everything quiets down. I would hope some people will hold on and not make instant decisions. After all, they did see in the aftermath of 1/6 many people over 800 did not necessarily fare well at all. I think though many of the people who will heed the Loon's call were already of the mind that they would like to interfere in democracy. The Loon is giving them a seemingly ready-made spring-board. Maybe it will come down to whether it is worth what may happen to you. The fellow from the Ohio FBI ofc. did not do so well although he was a lone wolf. I guess we are in a holding pattern for now.
Ex-CIA agent says fallout over raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago resembles the lead up to the January 6 Capitol attack and predicts there will be another 'catastrophic event'

- A former FBI and CIA official predicted there could be another "catastrophic event" like January 6.

- Threats have escalated as Republicans lash out against the FBI raid on Mar-a-Lago.
A former official who served in the FBI and CIA said the fallout from the Mar-a-Lago raid resembles the events that led up to the January 6 attack on the Capitol — and predicted there could be another "catastrophic event."
Phil Mudd, now a CNN counterterrorism analyst, previously worked for the CIA as an analyst specializing in South Asia and the Middle East. He later served as the first-ever deputy directer of the FBI's National Security Branch.
Mudd appeared on CNN Sunday to discuss the aftermath of the unprecedented FBI raid on former President Donald Trump's residence. Federal officials said violent threats to law enforcement spiked after the raid. Some Republican lawmakers, including Trump, have railed against the FBI and baselessly suggested the agency could target regular citizens next.

Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago home was searched by the FBI. Take a look inside his exclusive resort that the public never sees.
- The FBI executed a search warrant on Trump's Mar-a-Lago home in Florida on Monday, Trump said in a statement.
- Mar-a-Lago is Donald Trump's private club in Palm Beach, Florida. The property made a number of headlines and served as the First Family's gilded getaway throughout Trump's presidency.
- Here's a look inside the exclusive resort that the public doesn't get to see.
The FBI searched former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Palm Beach, Florida, Trump confirmed in a statement on Monday.
"These are dark times for our Nation, as my beautiful home...is currently under siege, raided, and occupied by a large group of FBI agents," the statement read.
The search was first reported by Florida Politics.
During Trump's presidency, the exclusive resort was often referred to as "the winter White House."
Now, it's just his house.
Following the end of his presidential term, Trump decamped to the ornate resort. Reports in 2020 of construction work at the family's on-property living quarters and Melania Trump touring a local school (presumably for son Barron) stoked rumors of the move long before it was official. Neighbors even publicly spoke about wanting Trump to stay away, though it clearly didn't deter him.
Mar-a-Lago has hosted a number of high-powered visitors over the years, as it has seemingly always served as the Trump family's gilded weekend getaway. Mar-a-Lago has served as a lavish backdrop to host important dignitaries with its elaborately decorated halls. It was built to impress.
Case in point: the property was closed for 57 days amid the coronavirus pandemic after visitors like the press secretary to Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro and Brazil's Chargé d'Affaires Ambassador Nestor Forster tested positive for the coronavirus in March.
Here's a look inside the sprawling complex, which was built in the early 20th century, where the Trumps have hosted opulent holiday parties and watched Super Bowls alongside members of the exclusive private club.

"When I followed extremists overseas, I never anticipated we would see this in America. We are," Mudd said during an interview with CNN's Jim Acosta, adding that extremists here are similar to the ones he monitored.
"They require leadership to tell them that what they're thinking is okay. And they require validation from that leadership to suggest to them that violence is okay," he said.
Mudd pointed to Trump's comments this week that referred to the investigation surrounding the search as a hoax and suggested without evidence that the FBI may have planted materials at Mar-a-Lago.
"The same thing that happened before January 6 is happening today," he continued, in an apparent reference to the rhetoric and false claims Trump made about the 2020 election prior to the insurrection.
He also pointed out the armed Trump supporters that protested in front of an FBI office in Phoenix, Arizona, on Saturday.
"People with AR-15s and camo are going to say: 'I'm going to do something about it.' That's dangerous. I think we're going to see another catastrophic event," Mudd said.
There has already been violence that appears to be connected to the raid. On Thursday, an armed man wearing body armor attacked an FBI office in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was shot and killed at the scene after an hours-long standoff with police. The man was also believed to have been at the Capitol on January 6, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.
The FBI recovered boxes of documents, including 11 sets of classified material, from Mar-a-Lago during the search, according to court documents unsealed Friday. The Justice Department is investigating possible violations of three laws related to the handling of government documents, including the Espionage Act.
Trump has denied any wrongdoing and said that he declassified all the documents, though he has not publicly provided documentation of that. Presidential documents, classified or not, are public property and by law are managed by the National Archives.

When your inner eyes open, you can find immense beauty hidden within
the inconsequential details of daily life. When your inner ears open,
you can hear the subtle, lovely music of the universe everywhere you go.
Timothy Ray Miller -
As it turns out, my day last Thursday was affected by the active shooter at the FBI building in Cincinnati. Dh and I happened to be on a bus tour heading to Nashville, TN that morning and had gotten just outside east Cincinnati when traffic came to a stop. At first we thought it was because of a car accident but before long we learned of the deranged idiot with a gun who somehow evaded FBI and law enforcement and was said to possibly be out roaming thru one of the many cornfields we were driving past on the interstate. So they closed the road.
We finally got rerouted to a ramp off the interstate, drove for almost two more hours---and were still east of Cincinnati! Omg! The bus driver kept trying to find a route around the city but everywhere he went, the roads were closed! Dh and I have learned to take trip glitches in stride, so we just rolled with it---what else could we do---and finally arrive to Nashville that evening for a fun, memorable stay. Still, I thought about how the actions of Trump and all he stands for affected my life while I was doing something as simple as taking a short vacation.
While on the bus, the minute I heard about the shooter, I immediately knew this asshat's actions were the result of him being pissed because the FBI had raided Maralago. And of course, it was reported later that was his reason. He dead now.

Divine, just thinking about what you said in your last paragraph. It is a lousy thing that EVERYONE'S life is STILL being impacted in so many ways by the lunatic Loon. He is the sore that won't heal, the boil that won't rupture. It is what makes us experience the feeling of dread and a need to even the score. I surely hope it happens although with people like the dead guy -- there are still far too many people who will jump gladly thorugh he hoop the Loon wishes to present and encourage. I have confidence we can quell anything the Loon and his minions could come up with but I worry about who else will suffer in some way or even lose their life.
Wouldn't it be wonderful if the other side could somehow adjust their thinking and vow to never willingly hand over the reins to a lunatic they think they can control should he or she win high office. Of course, I definitely hope for something like that.
It is so frustrating to still feel that this person as diminished as he he, with the largest number of losses under his belt that I've ever seen, commands the utterly devoted lunatic and or stupid fringe to do whatever bidding at the time he thinks will help him. Why don't they stop and think -- he is asking them to risk it all for him and he doen't know tham and doesn't care to know them. He in fact thinks himself I'm sure, that they are perhaps crazy and definitely stupid. Too bad he soesn't know why he thinks it -- they are just like him. I would like to think anyone else thinking they should jump on the Loon/Trump train might at least give some thought to the risks they might undergo to give this man what he wants -- see yourself as the front man -- the fall guy, the one who will suffer the consequenses for someone who doesn't want to even come close to being charged on evil deeds.
I sure hope the rest of your time was delightful and fun.
-
And it was about Russian inteference for the Loon in 2016.

I'm sorry to hear about your trip diversion divinemrsm. I fear we'll continue to have these acts of domestic terrorism as long as GQP continue to promote the big lie, support trump, and take steps to destroy democracy. It'll take a generation get the Supreme Court back to normal.
Reality Winner got screwed. She deserves a medal for her courage, IMHO.
This was a segment from CBS Sunday Morning about Mount Airy NC - Mayberry. If you skip to about 10:10, you'll see Ted Kopple asking questions of the tourists on the bus. Pretty scary about the state of the Fox watching nation.
