From Andy Borowitz - Feds Seizing Documents at Mar-a-Lago Unable To Find Trump's Healthcare Plan
-
Yes, the Loon did leave out that tiny little fact -- that he was as guillty of EVERYTHING, no matter how small or large.
Andy the Loon says there were LOTS of Feds so they will find it. As to that, it is not a small place, this Mar-A-Lago so they are likely going to send more then three or four people. Good God Loon -- I'd send a bus full, and maybe a backhoe just to make sure nothing I needed to find was buried for safe-keeping.
-
-
Hammer is coming down and Garland wouldn't do it unless it was STRONG.
-
And by the way:
-
I had not been thinking about it, but the Loon is at the golf place in New Jersey -- where he goes every yr. about this time. Had the Saudi's to host this time of course. Likely better that he wan't around when the raid took place. Even if he were right, and he is not even close, how sad that you have it happen while you are gone and you can't even give holy heck to someone about it to their face.
-
Jackie, do you suppose the raid was scheduled for when Trump was away?
What is it the Feds were looking for? Do we know? What kind of fallout could we reasonably expect for Trump? We keep hearing year after year “he’s gonna get it” but he always skates away freely. How soon might we know what was uncovered in the raid?
-
All that I've heard tonight is that it seems this was mainly about the records the Loon took with him ( some VERY highly classified ) with him when he left the WH. It was said some time back that he may have wanted them to have something to SELL should he I presume fall on hard times -- like maybe too many loans getting called at once -- or lose a lawsuit etc. Who knows for sure.
I doubt whether it was done because he wasn't there, although likely it has made it easier for the people who conducted the search and seizure. I think with many of the Loon's investigations getting to grand jury state, I just think perhaps it was the best time to deal with this -- before something un-toward could take plave. Also, Trump could not be trusted to just hand things over. He is a huge liar so holding some back would have been nothing to him. This way -- just using a search warrant was much better. The person filling ot the warrant likely had to be highly specific about many things -- just to get the warrant, but it could have covered numerous items that would not have a good description. Such as it was said this evening that some of the docs he took were so sensitive -- they could not even be described in a list -- that alone would give away too much and hurt the U.S. Security.
No small thing -- the Loon having anything like this. As you recall he was quite cavalier, extremely careless while he was in the WH. He certainly could be far worse at his own home. I think at this point, with all the pressures that may be floating around Trump as the investigations and grand juries heat up, that it was time to retrieve these things and do it in a way that would not allow Trump any chance to pick and choose/hide anything. Those executing could go in and take what was there period and nothing to be left up to Trump who is likely one of the most un-trust worthy people who has ever been on Earth.
We do hear that he will come to justice and I do think he will. It will never be soon enough for me, but I do think one way or the other he will pay for his mis-spent life. The thing I do think most about is that with his mental ( even were they to never get worse ) state, he would never be able to appreciate as others would any punishment. He is an evil soul and therefore in this life or any other will not have the capacity to understand and appreciate what he has done and why he needs heavy duty punishement for it. This punishment will make all of us feel better, but I've always known and felt -- he will not see it, feel it, and appreciate that he alone CAUSED his own downfall. He blames others in order to excuse himself -- so punishment ( not that he has ever gotten much if any ) does not impact him as far as change. Change for him is not possible.
Still, for all of us -- we definitly need to see the RULE of LAW work and work correctly. Those who break the law -- no matter who -- need to pay, period. Even knowing the Loon will not get what he should out of ANY punishment, the rest of us need to see it happen and experience that vindication.

Just patriotic tourists that love the Loon.

-
Yes and once there -- whatever fits a crime can be taken., whether there is a specific reference in it from the search warrant or not. Had the Loon been given a subpoena, he might have been able to pick and choose, or even hide something. This warrant to search means that whatever is there could be characterized in the search warrant as fair game. Nothing to hide to hold for some later use.

Jackie, thanks so much for the detailed explanation of FBI search of Maralago, warrant vs subpoena makes a lot of sense. Also, now I comprehend the concept that he no doubt stole incredibly sensitive information and as I was reading that, I immediately figured it was so he could sell it at a hefty cost to U.S. enemies. He’s quite the evil person with zero loyalty to the U.S.A. He is all for himself and if he could, he’d rename it the U.S. of T.
Honestly, he’s such a liar that when I first saw headlines that “he said” that Maralago was raided, I wasn’t even sure to believe it. You make great points about how he will never grasp what he did wrong, even if he’s rotting in prison.
-
From what I read, trump turned over some boxes of the presidential materials but not all. The warrant must have been to retrieve the remainder of the materials. He probably was keeping some things so he could sell them later.

Pence expresses 'deep concern' over Mar-a-Lago search, asks for 'full accounting' from Garland
"WASHINGTON - Many Republicans are rallying around former President Donald Trump after the FBI search on his Mar-a-Lago estate – some more aggressively than others.
While House GOP leader Kevin McCarthy and other Republicans vowed to investigate the Department of Justice over the search, Vice President Mike Pence issued a tweet expressing his "concern" over the incident.
"I share the deep concern of millions of Americans over the unprecedented search of the personal residence of President Trump," Pence tweeted.
Pence, who like Trump is considering a 2024 presidential run, also tweeted that some FBI agents "were found to be acting on political motivation" during the Trump administration.
In what looked a carefully worded series of tweets, Pence tweeted that Attorney General Merrick Garland "must give a full accounting to the American people as to why this action was taken and he must do so immediately."

Hmmm, wonder what Pence is trying to hide.
-
Maybe Pence is trying to pander to trumps base? Can you imagine what trump could have gotten for the Kim Jong-un “love letters" on the open market? I bet he would have sold those to the highest bidder had the FBI not fetched them for the presidential archives.
-
You are all so right. Trump was not trusted to voluntarily hand over all docs. He already had a chance to do that and failed. This undertaking, was pretty much meant as not only something of a surprise ( so things couldn't be hidden or destroyed or whatever other nefarious thing ) but to make sure that EVERYTHING found its way into the proper hands. So, while I'm sure the 'agents' were glad they didn't not have to deal with Trump personally, I don't think their going was necessarily planned for when Trump would be away. The point it seems to me was to do it under warant search so that no early announcement of the search would HAVE to be made and therefore -- no early warning.
This warrant could not have come about unless their was already provable evidence of a crime -- so Trump and some company perhaps should be extremely nervous. He is left in New York wondering just what the agents made away with, but he already knows that they have anything he may have stashed in his safe. The Reps. are painting this as a raid against Trump -- they are not about to lose the coat-tails they have hung upon for so long now. They are not thinking sane thoughts -- coat tails or not, the ending is the same. Not good for the orange crowd..

I'm worried he's already sold the "good" stuff!

From Dumb to Terrifying, Here Are Some Unhinged Responses to the FBI Raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago

Sounds like there are fits up the gazoo over the " raid " at the Loons house in Florida. Of course, they ( those having fits ) are behaving as though the Loon is this sweet angelic chubby-cheeked honey that wouldn't harm a fly or ever do anything wrong. They are just disgusting. Fine for them to make their case this way -- and if they really feel it, so be it, but it really sounds just like a bunch of sore losers to me, egged on by yours truly, the orange Loon. He and they too will ignore this very huge precedent of a total con man using the WH the way he and THEY did and will make as much trouble as they can.
I read on the way here about the many people apparently driving up to the Loon's place in Fla -- Mar-A-Lago. Go ahead. I hope you keep it up. The people in the neighborhood are going to love it -- so by all means, show your respect to the orange bozo.
