I love all you women!
Jackie, I love the Jake from State Farm commercials, so Jake from state pen cracked me up!
Caryn, “Alex Jones is so loathsome and despicable that my overactive imagination is coming up with things that would give medieval torture a run for its money.“ I love the eloquent way you say just how I feel! “He is even more disgusting than a pile of shit’” MrsM replied not so eloquently.
cardplayer, love the “Alex Jones is to Hunter Biden” meme! Haha!

If I keep my eyes open, I see bugs and snakes and intricate
tiny flowers and cool rocks and nice smiles and beautiful
architecture and gentle kindness. If I keep my heart young
I notice great places to play, nice sunsets, cool hideouts,
neat ice formations, and strange and unusual birds and animals.
Life is never ordinary. We can make it seem ordinary
by closing our eyes and hearts to its wonder, but that's not
life's fault. I prefer to notice the little things and then leave
them be--never trying to take them with me or preserve
them--because that's what life's supposed to be, and
that's what makes me happy and keeps away disappointment.

Who could not have negative feelings about Alex Jones well beyond the extraordinary. So throughly discouting someone's children and not only that, but doing so when they have barely had time to start deloping into 'who' they might have been. Everything twice as bad since JONES knew the truth and ignored it to satisfy his right wing loonies. Just thinking what one person who called himself human would do for money. Certainly sounds like Jones will enjoy some of his karma on this side, rather than the 'other' side. Divine, he is a VERY high pile of shit. Hate that there are so many more like him. It degrades humanity.

Hope someone is able to find erased materials from these. If Jones gets 'justice' these people should as well.
-
The best outcome - Infowars is shutdown, Alex Jones pays up, and ends up in jail. No parole.

Love the meme about Cruz since his mouth dispels nothing but toxic messages.
Loved the other memes as well. Tried to copy a link to a new Randy Rainbow video on 'Thoughts and Prayers". but was unable to do so. He is so creative and this is timely. Cruz was hos focus as well.
-
And how in your face they are now letting you know this.

-
Some days you just are amazed at how deep the stupid gets.

I loved the look in Alex Jones' eyes when the he found out his lawyers had dropped the ball on the phone messages. The Prosecutors did the lawful thing to let the Defense know and they didn't ask for the stuff back. Terrible representation. Did he get his lawyer from Trump's pool of incompetent nincompoops?
Gob-smacked about eating dogs because you don't have guns. WTF!? I hate to use this term but the USA is really revealing itself to be Dumbfuckistan. Present company excepted, of course. And a lot of other decent folks. Those folks have got to get out and vote!!

Thanks, cardplayer. It took me a minute to realize the song used was from A Chorus Line. Thoughts and prayers replace the original lyrics of… tits and ass

Cardplayer, thanks for posting the link to Randy Rainbow. I could not copy it to post. exbrnxgrl, thanks for identifying the source of the tune. It is priceless.

Wray Admits The FBI Never Investigated Brett Kavanaugh Sexual Assault Tips
FBI Director Chris Wray admitted during Senate testimony that tips about Brett Kavanaugh and sexual assault were never investigated but instead given to Donald Trump.
Read on »Glad this is finally out in the open. Likely anyone here knew that a 'scam' took place, but now there is no question that it would be completely fair and should happen that this is looked into. Kavanaugh does not and never did belong on the court and should be taken off of it now that it is known that he was NOT properly vetted. I guess the issue with him or any of the events taking place during the hideous four yrs. the Loon was GIVEN, is that everywhere you look there is some scam, disaster, fraud. The clean-up is humongous. Added to it is that if the Loon didn't happen to be cheating and scamming at the time, he still didn't have a clue about what he was doing.
I still cound as fortunate that there weren't more disasters and clean ups needed.

No problem! I’m a Broadway geek and Randy uses a lot of show tunes in his parodies. Very excited to be taking my 10 year old granddaughter to see The Lion King (touring company). Must indoctrinate them young, although it didn’t work with her mother 🤷🏻♀️. Younger dd is a Broadway fan but her children are still a bit too young, even for a Disney production. Although it incorporates high end Disney production values, it is a quality musical with a great book. Gosh! I’m really excited.* These COVID years were rougher than I thought.
* I saw it on Broadway at least 20 years ago.

Donald Trump's legal team in contact with Justice Dept. officials in Jan. 6 inquiry

WASHINGTON – Former President Donald Trump's legal team has been in contact with Justice Department officials involved in the Capitol attack investigation in an apparent attempt to block access to conversations with his former top aides, two people familiar with the inquiry said Thursday.
The disclosure comes as the federal criminal inquiry appears to have ramped up in recent weeks as subpoenas have been issued to former Trump White House officials and aides to former Vice President Mike Pence.

Trump's political team issued a statement condemning the Justice actions, saying "there is clearly a concerted effort to undermine the vital, Constitutionally-rooted Executive and Attorney-Client Privileges." He characterized the Justice investigation and other inquiries as a "partisan, political persecution."
CNN first reported on what it described as talks "around whether Trump would be able to shield conversations he had while he was president from federal investigators."
Trump is expected to claim executive privilege should the Justice Department seek details of presidential conversations with aides and members of the White House Counsel's Office.
Former White House counsel Pat Cipollone has been subpoenaed by a federal grand jury investigating the Capitol attack and the campaign to overturn the 2020 election, a person familiar with the matter said earlier this week.

Cipollone urged then-President Donald Trump to intervene as rioters stormed the Capitol and defended Justice Department officials in rejecting Trump's demands to pursue false allegations of election fraud.
The Justice Department has declined comment on the subjects of the subpoenas and any contact with Trump's legal team.
Cipollone is the most senior known member of the Trump White House to be called before the grand jury, a significant step in the federal investigation.

Scott Applewhite, APWhite House counsel Pat Cipollone departs the U.S. Capitol following defense arguments in the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, in Washington on Jan. 25, 2020. Cipollone, Donald Trump's former White House counsel, has agreed to testify before the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol, according to a person briefed on the matter.
Top aides to former Vice President Mike Pence, including chief of staff Marc Short, have already appeared before the grand jury.
"How can any future President ever have private conversations with his attorneys, counselors, and other senior advisors if any such advisor is forced, either during or after the Presidency, in front of an Unselect Committee or other entity, and be forced to reveal those privileged, confidential discussions?" the Trump statement said.
The statement added: "President Trump will not be deterred by witch hunts or kangaroo courts from continuing to defend and fight for America, our Constitution, and the Truth."
Trump is not only dealing with aspects of a Justice Department inquiry. He is a focus of a separate criminal investigation in Georgia, where an Atlanta-area prosecutor is leading a wide ranging inquiry into election interference.
The examination includes Trump's January 2021 call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger in which he urged the state's top election official to "find" enough votes for Trump to win the state's 2020 presidential election.

Why the Secret Service Texts May Be the Key to Prosecuting Trump
Finding those Secret Service texts could actually be the difference between Trump winning the 2024 presidency or Trump being sentenced in 2024.
Read on »I really wish they ( the media ) would quit pretending Trump is really going to run. I don't see it. He has done nothing but lose in any area which any kind of standards were able to be upheld. Also, he would lost control of a huge amt. of money and lastly, there is an excellent chance that one of the investigations ongoing from several directions will hit pay-dirt. Also, the RNC will only be able to continue paying his legal fees as long as he doesn't run. He is a huge cheap-skate and will not want anything to do with paying his own very large and on-going legal fees.
I doubt whether he has the courage to take the risk of being a loser again. His fragile ego just could never stand up to that and I still believe somewhere inside, no matter how hard he tries to stuff it away, somewhere he knows he really LOST. He knows he is a cheat and a con -- but why not. Non one bothers to stop him. I hope and pray though this time will be different.

The ABA Canons of Ethics (as well as state Rules of Professional Responsibility) exempt from attorney-client privilege a client's declarations that they intend to commit a crime going forward. In some (most?) states, an attorney can even be charged as an accessory for not at least anonymously warning law enforcement authorities of an impending crime of which s/he has knowledge (once a crime has been committed, though, any disclosures or admissions made by the client are absolutely privileged).
I can't hear the name "Cipollone" without thinking of Italian onions ("cipolline" are the little flat-ish ones). Having to restrict my diet makes me obsess about food, seeing references to it where they may not exist.

And Caryn, I'm embarrassed to admit that I never saw a musical on Broadway till 1963, when I was 12 and the "teenage" group at my day camp (the year before I became a jr. counselor) had a field trip into the city: in the morning we saw a Seventeen magazine fashion show; lunch was at the Automat (we were turned loose with rolls of nickels); and then a matinee of Oliver! (with the third cast, I think just before the national tour). Of course, there were the movie versions of classic musicals (I remember seeing them all, from South Pacific when I was 8 through West Side Story in 1962). The Ed Sullivan Show featured occasional production numbers by original casts, and we had all the albums. We put on abridged versions in day camp and sixth grade (I was Peter Pan and my mom always made me "crow" for company). We did get to see summer stock productions of plays & musicals at Westbury (LI) Music Fair (when it was still in a tent), and many productions featured actors who went on to greater fame (e.g., Lee Grant, Stanley Grover, Frank Buxton, Dorothy Loudon, etc.
But we did get to see every show at Radio City Music Hall, because my Aunt Pearl was the principal second violinist in the orchestra.

Appreciation of life itself, becoming suddenly aware of the miracle
of being alive, on this planet, can turn what we call ordinary life
into a miracle. We come awake to such a realization when
we recognize our connection to a spiritual dimension.

About the un-patriotic Americans. Makes you wonder why they are here.
I guess I just don't understand people who choose to talk like this when Griner and others are just pawns to be used and it mainly happens, surprise, surprise with places like Russia.
-
Whether you think she is right or wrong -- here are some things to ponder on.
The Bitchy Pundit
16h ·
I want to address some key talking points that I've seen people use against Brittney Griner and her release.
***
"Why was she even in Russia to begin with?"
Brittney Griner was in Russia on business. She has played off-season basketball for a Russian team for five seasons. She is very well acquainted with the rules, and the likelihood of her making a mistake like this is slim. This also brings to light a disparity in women's sports because Griner makes roughly $200K a year compared to her male counterparts, who make tens of millions and don't have to fly to Russia to remain competitive or pay their bills.
EDIT: I understand that 200K+ might sound like a lot to you or me. However, keep in mind that she has to pay her agent, lawyers, security, trainer, etc. out of that. I highly doubt that's the actual take home.
"She shouldn't have broken the law!"
As of right now, we don't know if she did break the law. The Russian government is notorious for planting items on people they wish to detain. They also have a 99% conviction rate and use the prison system as a way of silencing opposition or to kidnap individuals to use as political leverage.
"She confessed to the crime."
Russia is known for using aggressive techniques to force confessions. Additionally, she was required to admit guilt in order to be potentially be released. If she pleaded not guilty, Russia would not allow negotiations to move forward for a possible prisoner exchange. Her confession should not be looked at as an actual admission of guilt but as a statement made under duress.
"She shouldn't get special treatment because she's famous."
Correct. However, that is not what makes her case so pressing. The real issue here is that she is Black and a lesbian being imprisoned in a hostile nation with notorious anti-LGBTQ+ legislation that puts her life at risk. This isn't an issue of wanting to rescue someone because of fame but because of the genuine dangers they face because of their identity.
"We should focus on our own prison system."
Yes, we should. People should not be incarcerated for using drugs. Period. Full stop. However, you can care about more than one thing at once. We should always be fighting to make our own country a safer and more equitable place while also not leaving someone to rot in a Russian prison as a political prisoner.
"Americans don't deserve special treatment."
Also true. However, this case isn't about kids destroying things in Cancun over spring break and facing the consequences. This is about a person who has been kidnapped to be used as a political pawn. This isn't special treatment; it's rescuing a political prisoner.
"She has criticized her country; why should we save her?"
Criticizing our own country is fundamentally American and protected by our constitution; one could argue it's even patriotic. You know what isn't patriotic? Siding with Russian autocrats.
***
The State Department has declared Brittney Griner as being wrongfully detained. There is every reason to believe her arrest and detention are for geopolitical reasons and that she is at high risk due to her identity. We must continue to fight for her release. -

You SHOULD be in jail, but we have to make sure all is air-tight so you get to run around for a long time free as a bird while your evil ways and continued freedom make people feel you are getting off the hook. Praying you don't -- about anything you have done. Hope karma gets you by the real short hairs and keeps jerking for all she is worth.
