Remains hard to believe the Reps. are running on --- lets be as destructive to Biden and Democrats as we can be, which means stealing not only elections, but also all their rights on the way out the door. I read again on the way here though not much seems to come through in the media, that women have registered in droves to vote in the next elections and that polls show those 35 and under are involved in this.
I'm really not seeing how they feel they can pull his off although I know in order to nullify it, we have to have massive voting taking place by Democrats. The Reps. as always stand poised to cheat, suppress, lie, and do whatever they deem it takes to throw us out of power. We especially need to bolster our place in the Senate. If we do that we could neuter Machin and Sinema, from being able to affect the ability we need to change many things right now that have stood in our way of changing our democracy into a much better one.
The media just keeps buttressing the Reps. but maybe its a good thing. They seem to keep making serious miscalculations about what they are doing and giving us opportunities we seemed to have lacked before these mistakes. We sure need to get our messaging much better though and hammer the Reps. un-mercifully with it.

Women need to vote and run for elected office in order to nullify the damage that will be done by the SC and the GQP. This won’t happen overnight unfortunately, but it will happen. I think this leak woke some complacent millennials up. Need some young, bright women in Congress and the Senate. Organizations like Emily’s List are working on it. More Val Demings and Katie Porter and less Marjorie Taylor Green

Ruthbru,
This made me laugh so hard I snorted!!! Love it, unfortunately accurate!

Count me happy too about FLA ( R. DeSantis ) getting put down about the redistricting plan. I'm really tired of the Reps. who X people out ( district wise ) as though they never existed. I hope we take control of enough of the Senate to change things so that someone impartial can be hired to draw district maps if any need drawing.
The Reps. are going to have to put in the work to win voters over so that redrawing maps does not even have to be done. They have come to where that is apparently too hard and won't satisfy their massive need for money and power. ALL should have to do it the OLD fashioned way. Through hard work and attention to detail and most of all have a platform that appeals to a broad swath of people.

Oh these great memes that tell the whole story so easily w/o all the back and forth and hollering and denying etc. It's a great thing to see it condensed down to the most meaningful part. How I applaud whomever came up with them.
In other news:
1/6 is doing its job and now we hope and pray if needed the DOJ will do theirs. That said -- I think this is what needs to be done. Even if they take the 5th. or say I don't know -- it will be as telling as anything. Kevin McCarthy and the others who declined a nice invitation to sit for a hearing at 1/6 will now be asked again by subpoena. They have been boxed in and they, as do many others, know ( just not how much or how extensive ) that plenty of detail about their activities has been gathered. No matter how they handle things now they are in the cross-hairs and no good way to change anything. The more you fight it, the guiltier you look.
-
Not to change the subj. too much, but this turned up and it is so what you'd expect with the idiot Reps. who don't consider anything or anyone but what they want.

Well Ted Cruz -- put that on the bottom of your ticket to Cancun.
-
I will have to admit it -- I am absolutely cackling over this one. I do believe some of the neighbors to this bunch on the Supreme Court, have never seen their neighbors through "starry" eyes and have noted each and every wart perhaps. Now this kind of story needs to air right behind the one where the media lets us all know that Cruz wrote a letter to DOJ for that dept. to get real tough on those horrid old mean, dirty, nasty, law breaking mob protestors in front of judges homes. If we didn't have the word hypocrite in our vocabulary -- we would have to have the Ruth's of this world put their heads together and invent it.

Found this -- its right on.

The Republican Governors from VA and MD … -
I’m sure there was a large crowd for this game. Not the best pic of the banner, but at least it’s up there.

The best way I have found to follow my true desires is to pay attention to my intuitive sense. We all have great wisdom within us, a part of us that knows exactly what we need at every moment. We are born with this intuitive sense, but most of us are quickly taught to distrust and ignore it. We have to relearn something that should come naturally. Fortunately, it's not too difficult; it just takes some practice. -Shakti Gawain

From the start, the hypocrisy is what has appalled me the most.

Cardplayer -- I erased what I wrote. We are equal humans, some just have more fragile egos.

If you really truly are 'pro-life', you need to be willing to spend money on maternal health, financial help & job training for for low income mothers, affordable birth control, affordable daycare, health care & housing for all, assistance for those caring for elderly or disabled relatives in their home, more investment schools & teacher's training, quality after-school programs, funding for mental health programs (including drug & alcohol addiction) which should be accessible & affordable to all, more training for the police to deal with those in a mental health crisis, eldercare, more research into the various diseases that plague humankind, affordable treatments, you would be pro-vaccination, pro-taking care of others through your own actions, and certainly you should be protesting the death penalty as ardently as you protest abortion.
These are just a few things off the top-of-my-head that would actually make you 'pro-life".
-
So agree Ruth. We are different but we are one, and what helps the one, helps all. Just being male doesn't mean you qualify to make decisions for women, and maybe you shouldn't be making them for other men either. We saw how that went with the previous president -- the Loon. I'm not sure we will ever be equal as such on this Earth, but we sure aren't nearly as close as we should be. Until we RESPECT each other's needs and are willing to help each other be better ( no matter which sex ) life is going to continue with difficulty. It could be so much better.

Amen to that ruthbru
