Beesie, Parakeetsrule, SerenitySTAT, and Sadieservant: We could use your help in reference to the posts you made (copied below). Our tech team is not able to replicate these issues. Can you please confirm you're still seeing these issues and if so, please let us know. Thank you.
Beesie: My cursor and spacing is wacky as I write this up. I thought it might be my PC but as I keep typing, it's clearly the site here. I move my cursor to add a word in the previous paragraph, and when I type the word, it's either right at the start of the post, or right at the bottom, not anywhere near where I put my cursor. A minute ago, literally as I was in the middle of typing the previous sentence, the line between this paragraph and the previous paragraph suddenly disappeared. Then, as I was just typing another sentence and backspaced to correct a typo, and the backspacing deleted a word at the start of a different paragraph. The site also seems to remove the space between a period and the start of a new sentence (or the space becomes so small as to be imperceptible),
Parakeetsrule: The cursor issues you mentioned Beesie predate the change, at least for me. It's been happening on my phone since last year. I also sometimes have to add double spaces between words to get a single space.
SerentitySTAT: The spacing issue was and remains a problem. I just got used to adding a space at the end of my posts or when I insert text .
Beesie: I had spacing issues with paragraphs before, but I could always fix it. Today I couldn't fix it. And I've never had my cursor move all over the place, even while I'm in the middle of typing. The elimination of the space after a period is definitely new. I like to leave a couple of spaces so that it's always clear where a new sentence starts, and now I can leave 5 spaces and when my post shows up, all the spaces are gone and my new sentence starts right after the period ending the previous sentence (I just tested it and left 5 spaces at the start of this sentence... all gone when I checked the preview).
Sadieservant: I have found for quite some time that the last character of my post disappears (before the "upgrade"). you're right Beesie, space between the period and start of the next sentence disappears after posting.
We appreciate your ongoing help.

Hi Mods. I think that one is fixed.
-
Still losing the last character at the end of the post or when I insert a word when editing.
I added “winter” and hit preview.
-
Thank you sadieservant, and SerenitySTAT!

Mods, I appreciate the follow-up but can't provide any more information. I am no longer posting (this post being the exception) so I don't know what text and spacing issues may still exist.
I will say that in signing in just now, I've already found myself to be signed out twice just as I've been navigating between the home page and my PMs. I wrote a PM and was signed out upon pressing "Send"; the PM appears to have been sent but I had to sign in again to navigate to here. So it appears that if the "can't sign out" problem has been fixed, the fix is now signing members out without their knowledge while they are active on the site. I have not yet tried to intentionally sign out, to see if that now works. I will be doing that as soon as I post this message.
I am testing text spacing here, to see if spaces after periods still disappear. If there isn't a long space before the start of this sentence (between . and If), then yes, that problem still exists.

mods: what are you doing about DX entered correctly by the user but showing up wrong on the forum screen. I am NOT HER2- . I am HER2+, as entered/.
-
mods: never mind my last post, it is showing correctly now.
-
Elderberry, yes we are glad to see the issue has in fact been fixed for you. That fix was going to be shared in tomorrow's Release Notes.
Beesie, thank you for following up. We have noted your issue with being signed out navigating between homepage/PMs/threads. Please let us know if the signing out and staying signed out works for you. Also, we've noted that the spacing you tried between sentences did not take and will add to the ticket. Thank you.--The Mods

Also, Elderberry, can you confirm the ILC that is listed in your diagnostic signature is NOT accurate? We did report that as a glitch, but you didn't mention it again in your latest post saying it looks correct now. Can you please confirm? Thank you!

I just had to go through the eleven steps to log in AGAIN.
-
alicebastable, can you please explain the steps you need to go through to log in? It should not take you that many steps to log in. Please share where you are trying to log in from, and steps from there that takes so long.
Thank you.

mods: I forgot to look. No - I am not ILC either. Thank you
-
Thank you for confirming! We are still working on this!
-
Jeez, I already explained the login steps weeks ago. Here we go. I'm on my phone, an inexpensive Motorola android that works perfectly well on every site - including this one pre-FUBAR.
1. Click desktop icon to open site.
2. See there's no avatar, so click Log In 🙄.
3. Click on name spot on log in page.
4. Click it AGAIN 😕 to pull up saved name and password.
5. Click saved name and password.
6. Click log in page AGAIN to enter the saved name and password 😠.
7. Which takes me back to original page 🙄.
8. Click menu.
9. Click Active Topics.
10. Squint hard to see list of topics, then Click Post Your Glitches and Bitches.
11. Take short nap while waiting for page to open 😴.
-
I closed the site right after my post of two hours ago. Now I'm back and I'm still logged in. I'll celebrate when it happens several consecutive times
-
Thank you for those details, alicebastable. We will note them. Please let us know if you are consistently able to stay logged in or not. Thank you.

I just lost a post while trying to respond to a member’s new post. (I forgot that it is imperative to copy my post before clicking Submit.)
I spent a long time writing the post.
My time is precious.
Out of concern for the other member, I re-typed most of the post, copied everything and then it posted successfully.
I think that the web page session may be set to time-out when we take a long time to write a post. This is unacceptable. The page session should not do this and this is a setting that can be changed
-
Thank you for reporting this Cyathea. We will check with the tech team on this. Apologies for your time spent.
-
I just posted something and in my profile it says I am HER2 positive, which I am not. I think someone else was having this problem? When I went in to edit my profile, it says I am HER2 negative, so it's just when I post something.
-
Sf-cakes, a fix was released for that glitch today, would you mind logging and clearing your cache before logging back in again to see if that resolves the issue for you?
-
Let me post again after clearing the cache and see if my profile shows correctly...
Edited to add: nope, still shows HER2+
-
Mods, I had to log in AGAIN just now.

Slower than molasses in January up north loading a topic I want to read. I can stay logged in.

SO.... not logged on to this thread since 4/1. No way am I going to read 20 pages since each page takes several minutes to load.
I just wish I could get a menu item to choose "my favorites" more than one in 10 tries. And I wish we could have a menu back on the left side. And I with it didn't take forever to go from one page to the next. And oh.... .I'm not really active anymore - certainly not to the point where I was logging in every day or where I enjoyed trying to help newbies. Really miss it but I'm not going to deal with this mess - down the road another 15 days in April
-
Ya know Mods - this is all just "he said, she said". Except for a post from Traveltext - I have not seen even ONE other person who is happy with the changes. Doesn't that tell you something? Do you all really not care that "old timers" are giving up on the friends they've made - but even more - given up on trying to help new people with questions??
If you answer, maybe I'll be able to get to My Favorites again to see what you said. Maybe not.
-
P.S.Mods - my time is valuable too, if only to me. If you give a rat's ass, please institute some modifications back to the old system that actually functioned.
-
Just an fyi, if you bookmark my favourites https://community.breastcancer.org/my/topics/monit...
that seems to work well as far as speed of getting to where we want to be. When I do that, I get a page to login, my browser auto fills it & then I just click to login & it takes me directly to my favourites....
Actual topics and posts are still taking longish to load tho but at least getting here for me is now simple.
-
Thanks Moth. I'll take a look at trying that. But I do already have my log in & password bookmarked. It's after I get logged in that's the issue.
-
I have my favourites bookmarked on one device (ipad) and active topics on macbook. Logging on either is mostly not worth it. It always shows me logged in until I try to read a post and click and then I am taken to login page. Unless I have absolutely nothing else to do or am determined to get here I give up because of how long it takes to load. All of my devices are latest models (ipad and macbk air) phone is i12
I think some of the "fixes" have made things messier (for me). I am not going to keep clearing caches either after a month and a half of doing that and figuring out my passwords. Again (broken record here) I mostly feel for those who depended on the relationships and aretoo sick to get through the maize. I am sure they feel abandoned.

Maybe it works better on android
