Hello! I'm new here. I recently had a routine physical with my doc and she mentioned I'm due for a mammogram as I'm now 41. I've never had a mammogram or breast u/s before. Last Friday, I went for my 3d mammogram and I was recalled for an u/s which is scheduled for next week. While I'm waiting, I'm curious if anyone can give any opinions regarding benign conditions my mammogram results are indicating or have had a similar result. The report is as follows:

Scattered areas of breast tissue are seen. Numerous tiny nodular densities are seen in the breast too many to count or measure. However activity 5:00 position in the left breast there is a 7 mm oblong density with a faint oblong density just posteriorly measuring 6 mm. At the 3:00 position there is a well-circumscribed nodule measuring 8 mm. Ultrasound 2:00 to 6:00 position recommended. I see no color dominant masses, areas of architectural distortion or suspicious clusters of microcalcification.

Impression: Small nodular densities outer aspect left breast. Ultrasound 2:00 to 6:00 position recommended

[Scattered glandular tissue - 25 - 50% glandular breast tissue.

Assessment: BI-RADS O. Incomplete examination. Needs further imaging evaluation.
