Thin Slices of Joy

Serenity - thanks for my laugh of the day... you removed temptation!!!
-
Minus - It had to be done. 😉 But now I’ve offered to do a Whole 7 with him. My plans to make madeleines are on hold for at least a week. Hopefully that’s enough time for him to feel better.
I’ve been a fan of the Neville Brothers for over 30 years. ❤️❤️❤️

Had a telemed appointment with RO earlier. She told me my chest CT was clear, but the rest hasn’t been read yet. I didn’t know there were site specific specialists. They should be read by my Mar 8 appointment. Has plant care finally taught me patience? She wants to add a TSH test to my next blood tests so I will drop by radiation oncology first. She plans to squeeze me in for a quick exam, too. I love my health care team.
Came across this rendition of Zombie. 😢

“It’s the same old theme since 1916.”
The Cranberries - Zombie

Ear worm: Bob Marley's No More Trouble by PFC

Helped me and maybe will help you too
-
Hahaha, SerenitySTAT you made me LOL about the Dove's. Thank you so much. Yes, chocolate!
-
oldladyblue - And they were good! 😋
Jazzy - Thank you! That did help. I’m learning that Ukrainians are such brave people and funny. Glad to see many are against this invasion.
This is David Bowie’s son. ❤️🇺🇦❤️

Slice of joy last night, live jazz concert with the Joey DeFrancesco Trio
-
Jazzy - 👍
-
Cold as Ice. I never which song is going to pop up from the millions of lyrics in my head.
If you hang on after this selection, you'll get Foreigners Greatest Hist - compiled in 2019
-
And if that doesn't ring your chimes - how about Gordon Lightfoot, Cat Stevens, Don McLean, Jim Croce....
-
Seems Putin has succeeded in uniting most of the world including Russians against him. Have I brought up how much I admire the Ukrainians? Their trash talking is marvelous. From the Sunflower lady to their president. ❤️🇺🇦❤️
R.E.M. - Welcome to the Occupation
-
-
Both excellent songs & thoughts. We have to hold the line, but oh for peace.
-
cancer is so weird. My slice of joy this week was getting to see a CT scan - not taken for a cancer related cause - that showed no lung Mets. (All it takes is a slight cough and a slight wheeze to make me think the worst!).
I’ll take the joy wherever I can find it -
Woo Hoo - NotAsCalm. Fantastic news.
-
Jazzy - I love PFC and their collaborations!
NotAsCalm - Yay for clear CT! I should get the rest of my report next week. I operate on the thought that no news means nothing terrifying is happening.
Minus - I wish for peace, but it isn’t happening soon enough. I’m still amazed of reports showing Ukrainian mettle. On news of the Russian invasion, some Ukrainians are dropping everything to go home to fight. 🇺🇦💪
R.E.M. - You Are The Everything ❤️
-
Did you know Barbara Streisands son Jason sings? I hear some of her in his voice
-
BTW, NotAsCalm, I am so glad to hear this news
-
Jazzy - Didn't even realize she had children! He sounded wonderful. She's clearly thrilled to sing with him.
We had unexpected ice cream. Just means we had ice cream that had been opened, but then forgotten because a yummier dessert was available. Topped with dulce de leche. 👍
ETA: I did fast 36 hours. Broke with leftovers from last night. 😋

Was playing Wordle before it was bought. Replaced with Dordle. Not to worry. Will post it rarely.

Love this song. This performance is wonderfully soothing .
R.E.M. - Nightswimming ❤️
-
Slice of joy - sunrises and sunsets this week have been amazing
-
Jazzy - Beautiful!
Hey, I can post again. 🙃
Just in time to report my CTs were clear. Many unremarkable organs. “No evidence of metastatic disease." Though I do prefer the gynaecology oncologist saying “beautiful" when she looked at different organs by ultrasound. 😉 TMs rose though. 😫
-
I’m still listening to lots of R.E.M., but I came across this rendition of Billy Idol’s Dancing with Myself by PMJ. 👍
-
Those Ukrainian farmers are harvesting tons of heavy metal. 🙃
Talking Heads - Life During Wartime

Sourdough Parmesan crackers. A bit salty, but satisfying crunch. 👍
