I have been monitored every 6 months with ultrasounds and a yearly mammo for fibrocystic breasts. On my last interval in July, I had 5 new lesions of which radiologist described at complex cysts or solid appearing masses. Birads 3. I usually follow with my specialist but did not bc radiologist was very reassuring everything looked fine. Last week I felt a small hard smooth lump - the bb pellet or pea. It seemed to correspond to one of the new spots found in July. Had an ultrasound today. Radiologist said it looked the same (complex cyst) and probably benign. Just follow with my next 6 month interval. I also had an afternoon appt with specialist.

She disagreed with complex cyst assessment. Didn’t like I can feel feel and is sending me for a biopsy. She thinks possibly a papilloma. So my questions:

1. Has anyone had a papilloma without nipple discharge? My spot is at 8:00 1 cm from nipple.

2. has anyone had a palpable papilloma? If so, what did it felt like? Mine is very smooth and very round but hard.

Yes, possible. I had two lumps at the same time - one of them was connected to my ducts and led to discharge but the other was kind of like yours - on the side. You can read about my journey on this forum. Don't worry! If it is indeed a papilloma, things are pretty straightforward.
