    Oh how I hope Minus. I feel concern for the mid-term elections as well. Not sure what the light will look like, but I can't lose hope. I would like to think those generals are wrong, but we have already seen the divide that has taken place.

    People share the same basic drives: a need for love, for freedom and respect, and the desire to feel as if their lives have meaning. By looking within, the keys to understanding human behavior can be revealed if you are courageous enough to search your innermost heart. But how many of us know where that heart is? How many of us have fallen into the habit of being out of touch with what we intuitively know? Often this seems to be most true when we apply it to knowing our own feelings. The noisy hustle and bustle of the outer world can distract us so much that we have a hard time listening to that still, small voice that usually knows the truth of any situation. -John Marks Templeton

    Held his rally last night/afternoon in Az I think it was. I read a piece that said it was same old, same old as in reliving 2020 and the election that was stolen from him. I would have to check further to see how well attended. The article said that Trump's handlers are still keeping a tight rein since he continues to be not only mentally un-stable, but perhaps physically too. I'm sure the mental instability is heavily tied into his not being able to quit with the BIG lie. What else does he have that so excites most of his base that never question the validity of anything he says.

    May be a Twitter screenshot of 2 people and text that says 'NOLIE COMEN No Lie with Brian Tyle... Kyrsten Sinema just blamed "Democratic leaders" for not getting Republicans to support voting rights. Yes, really 2K 门 6.4K 37.8K Miles Feldsott @MilesOrion1 I hate when firemen can't convince arsonists that burning buildings is bad.'

    Another bad case of wrong target. Krysten Sinema doesn't realize that she, along with Manchin, are being not only foolish about this but terribly stupid not to recognize that they play right into Reps. hands. I'm just sad that there was ever any Dem. including Pres. Biden, who didn't see the writing on the wall the minute McConnell reared up over the possibility early on of the Dems. doing away with the filibuster. I hope Sinema and Manchin come to regret what they hve done.

    What part of "Republicans don't want 'the wrong people'--i.e., minorities & students--to vote" does Sinema not understand? Hint: it wasn't just white people who voted for her. OTOH, Manchin is just hypocritically going along with the racist majority in his extremely-red state, lest they vote for his GOP opponent next time out. He is a lost cause. Both need to remain Ds, because even a DINO counts towards a necessary Senate majority caucus no matter how contrarian their floor votes.

    I saw footage of No-Vax Joker-vic being frog-marched through the Melbourne airport after his visa was revoked and the federal court ordered him deported. Not surprised to see that unlike his escorts, his white mask had an exhalation valve. What an asshole (my apologies to anal orifices).

    ChiSandy: Agree with your sentiments about the arrogant Joker-vic. It will be interesting to see how his future in upcoming tournaments in other countries is played out. His arrogance in verbalizing a lie and then commiting it to paper (visa application) means that he can be banned from Australia for up to 3 years because of his deportation ban. Shame on his parents and his country for thinking his actions deserve support in face of the pandemic. He also co-opted his possible opponents if he was permitted to stay. So kudos to Australia for taking the hard line. If this tournament was so important to him then he should have gotten the vaccine; guess he didn't need the money either.

    C(S)inema is a drama queen who seems to care more about her physical appearance than her concern for her constituents especially those non-whites who voted for her. What a slap in the face. I have misspelled her name deliberately because of her choice to be front and center in the attention whore line when she cannot even verbalize understandable reasons for her not supporting the right to vote. Does she understand that she is privileged to be a senator because it was only 100 plus years ago that women even had the right to vote made law? Stange bedfellows those two.

    This one would be impossible for my sister in law. Everything is a conspiracy to her, and it started long before the coronavirus. She presents as a rather normal person but is, in fact, a really strange person.

    Can't agree more with all said along with the memes. I think those who always go along with conspiracies no matter what, have found a great way to dodge responsibility for themselves and their actions. I guess what baffles me ( always will I think ) is how they make the leap from sane and rational to almost total nut case. I mean were they always OFF or did it show up at a certain time. I also presume they spend lots of time on those channels that cater to conspiracies and mainly befriend and intermingle with people like themselves -- save mainly for families. They don't seem to get that a huge group of people see them as foolish and irrational. If you don't build your life on truth you may have some pretty shaky ground underneath.

    Came across this:

    May be an image of 4 people and text that says 'STRUMP AS LONG AS MY SHEEP KEEP SENDING ME MONEY, I'LL NEVER ADMIT DEFEAT! American News X'

    Quite believable and it is what is happening. He needs a ton of money. I do think he will be nabbed by SDNY or Georgia and if so it will be quite expensive for him. At the same time and partly due to this, I do feel he won't really run in '24. His mentality was always in question to me and if he is fighting chgs. then or worse he would not have time or energy to be a part of '24. He is in it for the money. His whole life has been about money, but in almost every case he has proven a failure. As was said -- had he EVER really wanted the job of Pres. think how dangerous he would have been then. He might have done a lot more damage.

    Today I made a donation to my local chapter of the Humane Society in honor of Betty White's 100th birthday. The Betty White challenge nice way to honor her and help a cause close to her heart.

    Weak claim to fame: I was born in the same hospital where MLK died, less than six months after his passing.

    And when we come to think of it, goodness is uneventful. It does not flash, it glows. It is deep, quiet, and very simple. It passes not with oratory, it is commonly foreign to riches, nor does it often sit in the places of the mighty: but may be felt in the touch of a friendly hand or the look of a kindly eye. -David Grayson

    Divine, your final meme was almost painful, but so true. I was thinking a day or two ago about the fact that the American Indians respected Mother Earth and did all they could to live in harmony with it. Not taking more of her resources than they could use and using as much as they could in different ways of what they took. Come today and not only have we not learned to feel deep remorse for being so destructive to that wonderful race of people, but we are horribly destructive to the Earth, we continue to be destructive to each other.

    We continue to feel superior to others, many of whom are just like us and God help those who are different nationalities or colors. Why do we feel so justified in holding others back who are as bright and capable as anyone. It is so hard for me to understand why we have to hold someone else down to prove our superiority. We need to prove humility, harmony and the ability to accept ALL of us are here trying to do the same thing. Grow as people/souls and not only live our best life, but assist others, no matter who rhey are to live theirs as well.

    Miriandra -- I don't consider that your being born in the same hospital where MLK died a weak claim to fame. I think it was a projection on your soul for the better and help define how you see life now.

    Josh Hawley apparently doesn't understand what he posts since it does not reflect his direct actions. The only hope for him is that he someday has an epiphany that the heaven he seeks will be just out of reach due to his path of discrimination on earth.

    IllinoisLady, it definitely influenced me by defining the environment I grew up in. I grew up in inner-city Memphis, a very integrated area. My high school was predominantly black, despite being considered a "white" school (it was geared towards college prep). When we moved to Colorado, we first settled in a very homogenous, Wonder Bread town. I was surprised to discover that I actually feel more comfortable and at ease in a racially mixed or blended environment.

    I grew up in an all-white environment even though it was a very tiny town. Only 200 people. In the next town ( where I re-located after moving home from having lived in California for 25 yrs.) there was a mixture of races, in the main black people. They were only allowed though to live in one section of town and frankly for most of my young life up till I left home at 18, black people were not seen "in town". They had their own stores, filling stations etc. No one really 'mixed' then.

    Much later, things did change and it was better for all. I was not taught as a child to not accept those who were a different color or nationality. My parents did not demand I feel any certain way but trusted me to choose as wisely as I could at the right time. I chose acceptance of all rather than condemnation.

    Before you speak to me about your religion,

    first show it to me in how you treat other people;

    before you tell me how much you love your God,

    show me in how much you love all His children;

    before you preach to me of your passion for your faith,

    teach me about it through your compassion for your neighbors.

    In the end, I'm not as interested in what you have to tell or sell

    as in how you choose to live and give.

    Serious bad-mouthing of Pres. Biden is still on-going. It sounds like he will change some of his messaging from here on out. I hope so because his numbers ( in spite of what he has accomplished up to now ) just shows that the Reps. are still able to effect a negative picture. Likely it is in part due to the media and their ratings -- but the Democrats don't message well. It has been a Democratic weakness for a long time. We need to be ready willing and able to shout out where we are right and to not miss an opportunity to paint the Reps. as they are -- aparty of losers with no ideas following a faile leader who lost everything for them and who is still helping Reps. candidates lose.

    We are too squeamish and need to find our own backbones on this.
