Hello all!

I had my MRI results yesterday, has ultrasound in September and it was clear.

Here is the report of the left, right seems ok.

Within the posterior aspect of the left breast laterally is a nonspecific nonmass enhancement which extends from the outer posterior aspect of the breast to the outer far posterior aspect of the left breast on the dynamic enhanced images from approximately the 1:00 to the 3:00 position. Additionally, there is a 0.7 x 0.4 cm oval enhancing mass far posteriorly within the left breast at approximately the 12:00 position. This may be increased signal on the T1-weighted images consistent with a fatty hilum of a benign intramammary lymph node. The non-mass enhancement may be in a similar location as the grouped calcifications on the mammogram.

The retroareolar nipple complex is normal. There is no skin thickening. The chest wall is normal. There is no axillary adenopathy.

IMPRESSION: Incomplete Assessment (BI-RADS 0) - Needs Additional Imaging Evaluation

I am going for more screening tomorrow.

What could this be?

P.S. I don’t have history of breast cancer, my mother does, hence her stats in my signature

    Kate,

I am glad you’re getting more screening. Despite ten years with bc, I am still not a doctor so won’t even hazard a guess but I hope the screening brings some clarity.

I don’t know if this is your account or your mom’s but if you’re asking about your situation it would be best for the signature line to reflect your situation or show nothing at all. Having your concerns but your mom’s dx may get confusing. Take good care
