Hi Monarch. It was 3mm 6 years ago I think though it was never mentioned. That was the only other chest scan I've had.

i had a chest x ray prior to my masectomy in May. It was normal. Recently I had another chest X-ray which was part of my pre op for the exchange surgery. A nodular density was seen on this one but this report noted it was also seen on the last one. No measurements were ever given. But it did say it was unchanged. This report further suggests it could be a bone lesion. And I did get very anxious. This radiologist wanted more x rays using dual energy. My oncologist agreed which made me more nervous. I had it done and the four best words “ no evidence of disease “. What that nodule density that was seen, I don’t know.

Hopefully yours is nothing. It’s been there so long and hasn’t changed much. The difference in measurement could be the difference in the radiologist measuring it. I would try not and worry. Easier said than done. I know cause I just went through this. I do think benign long nodules can be common. Good luck and update when you ca

Thank you Monarch. It's comforting to know yours was nothing to worry about. I also know lots of people have lung nodules that are nothing. Just wish it hadn't grown! Well I have a bit of a wait until I know anything more but I will post when I do.

i just finished chemo at the end of the summer so I’m just in the early stages of survivorship. But that routine chest X-ray turned into a really scary event for me I think as cancer survivors it’s gonna be hard when a test or scan isn’t textbook normal. Normal abnormalities as they say are hard for us because the worry will always be but maybe it’s cancer.

    The waiting is hard
