20 years of Stage 4 MBC de novo!!!
Yay me! Today is the start of my 20th year of Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer de novo! 20 years of chemo sure has been a challenge. And after 20 years of CT and PET scans, why don't I glow in the dark? Doing my best to hang in here and I sure have been Blessed!

This is just curiosity more than anything else but how do you know you are not cured.
Like do they still see cancer on the scan and its inactive or what do they see on the scans.

Sunnidays-there is no cure for Stage 4 since there will always be cancer cells circulating in our bodies. And I do have a spot in my liver, so it might be a liver recurrence.
No cure, but it is treated like a chronic disease with meds forever...like diabetes.

Long-term controls of the disease for those of us with MBC seemes to be the way things are going as opposed to there being a cure, diying with it and not of it.
