Experiences with CTC and ctDNA Tests

I would like to have a thread for people to share their experiences with this new (ish) technology. My insurance doesn't cover any of these tests (I have TRICARE), but I have gone out on my own to purchase one (the CTC test from BIOCEPT in March 2018) and about to do so again. I think some insurers are supporting it. Just curious if anyone has experiences, good or bad and tips for going through this process. My MO is on the fence but seems to believe the ctDNA has a stronger correlation with regards to prognostic value.

Also, if anyone knows of any clinical trials related to these tests or publications, I would love to see them. I have seen some publications, but most are ~2018...guess I am looking for updated research.

    I just did a BIocept CTC test and is came back as detecting 7 Cytokeratin negative (no cytokeratin positive) tumor cells. I found it so disturbing, but my oncologist said not to worry about it at all.
