Hooded bathrobe
Looking for a warm, hooded bathrobe for women. If you know of a brand, please share. Thanks.

wallycat,
I bought a hooded sweatshirt-type full length robe at Chadwick's online several years ago. It is fleece-lined like a sweatshirt, hooded and has a two-way zipper. It also comes in petite sizes if you are vertically challenged like me and have trouble with full length items being too long. I loved it so much that I bought a second one. I don't know if they still carry that style, but they seem to carry over popular styles for several years.

Might want to check Amazon

Thanks, ladies!

I've been given several from La Vie en Rose. They're thick fleece with a hood. Fleece isn't good for right after shower or bath but for lounging around or a snuggle layer they're perfect. I have one near me pretty much all the time. https://www.lavieenrose.com/en/loungewear/robes

Moth, I love some of the styles and designs; sadly, I do not see a full or calf length hooded one. The prices were decent and they had a US store, but nothing suitable.
I see the Chadwick is still being made, but I prefer a tie.
Spookiesmom, Amazon is so hit/miss I only buy if I know the brand/what I am looking for. I may go look just to see if it is less daunting than I think.

I very seldom buy clothes on line. I like to touch, try on. I did get some undies from Amazon and they are fine. I found a summer sleep shirt that looked interesting. It’s made with bamboo. It helps wick away sweat from the hot flashes liked it so much, bought another. Liked those so much bought a long sleeve for our “winters”. So it can be done

Spookiesmom - I agree. I want to touch & feel & try on. It's really annoying that many of the clothes that interest me are ONLY on line. I think we're fighting a loosing battle in the world of clothes.

I remember living in a real city and going "to the mall" and trying stuff on. I miss that too. The closest mall, if you can call it that, is 1-1/2 hours one way (that's if the bridge is not closed or backed up). Our little town forbids chains (except for mcD--figures!!) so that would mean hitting every store and hoping they had sleepwear. If we decided not to go over the bridge, into Silverdale, it is about 1 hour, one way, to get a walmart and a Ross. That's it for clothing here.
I do appreciate your feedback and it gives me hope for Amazon. Maybe I'll look there again.
Thank you all.

I never was much of a clothes shopper. I found it exhausting. I do a lot of on line shopping and am usually quite happy with my purchases but I almost always buy brands I am familiar with.

Wallycat, L.L. Bean has hooded fleece robes.
If I find something I like, I buy in multiples. My clothing is more like seasonal uniforms, same pants in different colors, same tops in different colors, even shoes. I hate going shopping (even pre-Covid) so I play it safe when I find what I like and get enough so I won't run out for years. Luckily I'm also fashion-challenged, so I'm fine with my plain repeat clothes.

My dd bought me a BarefootDreams (Adult Unisex) CozyChic robe that is a-maz-ing. Super soft, fluffy, and comfy. When I put it on I never want to take it off! The one she bought me is not hooded, but they added a hooded and ribbed version this year (Ican't speak to the ribbing). They are NOT cheap, but mine is worth every penny.
Edited to add, I use this as more of a "house" robe than a "bath" robe

Alice, we must have been separated at birth. I go so far as to buy men's sweats (joggers) that fit decently...cheap at costco when they are on sale. I buy a few and am good till the next sale, maybe skipping a year, LOL. I've had the misfortune of doing that with shoes and did not appreciate the fit a year later, but still, over all, I also have a "uniform" and a small handful of "nice" sweaters in case we ever venture out to dine (rarely).
SeeQ...OH DROOL on that robe. It ticks off all my "wish" stuff, but for the price, LOL. I wonder if anyone has an Oprah magazine (it is on her "favorites" list) and usually has a promo code. I am a bit nervous about the ribbing. I have a beautiful "box weave" cotton robe for summer and find my arms get the imprint. Ugh...getting old and skin is not what it used to be, LOL.
How lovely of your daughter to get you that robe!!Thanks again for all your help! At least I know I'm not alone in trying to find stuff on line.
Editing to add: I use bathrobe, house robe interchangeably. I towel off, change into my jammys and put on a robe after a shower (I shower in the evening).
editing again: Alice, the LLbean robe did not have the fleece all through the sleeve, if the reviews are correct.

wallycat - yeah, the ribbing kind of worried me, but when I was looking at the pics up close, I don't think it would be a problem. And, they seem to know what they're doing. Lol. And yes, my daughter scored big time with this gift.

Sitting here in my men's sweats, so I guess I match too. Lately I've cleaned out drawers and am wearing my son's junior high T-shirts. Wally - you might try Vermont Country Store. Where's the Sears Catalog when we need it???
-
Amen, MinusTwo...where's a sears or a jcpenny when you need one!!
