Hi All, This is my first post. My diagnosis so far is Grade 1 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma left breast. I had a lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node removal 2 weeks ago (4th Oct). My follow-up appointment with the surgeon was not until next Friday but I've just had it brought forward to tomorrow. For the last 3 days I feel that the pain is getting worse and there are 3 hard lumps from about 9 o'clock to 12 o'clock on the breast (the original lump was at 11 o'clock). The follow-up appointment is not far off but I'm just hoping to get some reassurance/advice from others here in the meantime. Thanks in advance

It's good that you'll see the surgeon sooner, but that's not to say anything terrible is going on. It is very common to have healing issues of a variety of types. I don't have any particular advice for you, but I wish you well. Please let us know what you find out.

    Hi MountainMia

Thanks for your reply. I'm looking forward to seeing the surgeon this afternoon (not really but you know what I mean :-). I will update here later.

Good results from surgery clean margins and no cancer spread to the lymph nodes. So just radiation therapy and hormone tablets needed. Best case scenario 👌. The sore lumps are just healing tissue and fluid build up. I am less worried about the pain now that I know what it is and looking forward to hearing more before the start of radiation in about 3 weeks.

I hope the pain continues to abate and your healing goes smoothly. Good luck with your rads.
