I am currently on Kanjinti and Perjeta every 3 weeks until the end of January. I will be having my 13th round next week. Anyone else experience fatigue, aching hips & knees? My labs have been perfect according to my oncologist. I just get so tired and have to nap everyday. I wake up at night sometimes with my hips and knees hurting. The dr said it’s probably arthritis. I’m only 46 and never had issues before this. Just wondering if anyone else has similar issues.

    Hi Christinag53,

I am 43 and have received 15 rounds of kanjinti (stopped perjeta after 6 rounds) and do experience fatigue and some joint pain/ache in shoulders at night. I don’t sleep well and every time I wake up in the night I am aware of discomfort/pain in my shoulders. I have told my MO/NP about the fatigue and get told kanjinti should not be making me tired but it has been consistent throughout treatment, I don’t recall talking with them about the shoulder stuff. I have 2 doses to go so will be interested to see if things change/improve after awhile.

Thanks for the info. Sorry you are having issues too. My dr didn’t want think the meds could cause fatigue but it is listed as a side effect of both drugs. I’m curious as well to see if it improves after treatment ends

I finished up in August — I had mild achey joints in my ankles, knees, and feet while I was on it. For me it mostly affected me after I stood up from sitting — but it usually only lasted a couple of minutes and I could shake it off pretty quickly. It hasn’t bothered me quite as much in the last few weeks.

    Good to know! Thanks!

@Melbo were you tired a lot during treatment?

Good to hear it has improved for you since treatment concluded Melbo, thanks for sharing.

Christinag53 - hopefully we and any others dealing with the joint ache/pain and fatigue find improvement once treatment is through.

    Wishing you both well!
