Hi,

I am looking to start a group in Seattle area of women who are thinking outside the box, to stay healthy on their own terms. Quality of Life is super important to me and I am looking for women to join me for get togethers where we talk about our lives, what we have experienced and the different things we are trying to stay well.

macb04 - hope you can put together a group. It's hard to get "local" people to participate regularly.

Are you a Seattleite? As you can see, I tried that over a year ago and got zero responses. <sigh

Nope - I'm in Houston. I was raised in the SF Bay area but my ex DH was from Seattle so I spent a fair amount of time there over the years. But that was long before BC. My recent trips to WA (before Covid) have been to see friends Sequim & the Olympic Peninsula. I had finally gave up on getting a Houston thread going - so I just posted to keep your thread going. Hope some people will post.. There is a lady in Port Townsend that posts regularly, but I don't recall seeing any Seattlites.

Well thanks for posting even if you’re not a Seattle or Pacific NW person.

I do hope someone local will join in.

    So bumping again for you!!!

Edited to say - wonder if you would get a response if you changed title of the thread to say only "any seattle women???"

Hi Minus Two. Thanks for bumping the thread.

I could change the title to just Seattle women but I am looking more for women who might be a match for me in terms of an interest in Integrative Cancer Care, not just mainstream cancer industry care.

    Hi Macb04,

I'm getting all the horrid standard care, but also seeing an accupuncturist & seeing Dr. Chad virtually. He is with Seattle Integrative Oncology.

    Hi mammacure,

Well I am glad you found Dr Chad. I have an Oncology trained Naturopath, but it is good to know about additional resources in my area. I am starting back on IV Vitamin C on Monday. I will be getting 25 grams in a Meyers Cocktail formulation to start, then gradually increasing to 50 to 75 grams per infusion.

I am doing it slowly this time because I had an intense Herkemer reaction when I had a 60 gram Vitamin C infusion in December 2020. I had stopped having IV Vitamin C because I had trouble getting them started because my veins are extraordinarily difficult to access on my R arm, and theoretically I shouldn't use my L because the BC industry chopped out 19 lymph nodes. The Naturopath had a Vein Finder which make starting the IV very easy. Then she moved away.

I have finally found another Naturopath who has a Vein Finder. That's where I am going on Monday.
