Hi all

Have my annual on tuesday-- mammo, mri and clinical visit. It has been 15 months since my last visit and I am 13 years out. Rationally I know things are probably fine- I have seen my gyno and pcp for clinical exams in the interim and I feel fine.. Not sure why I feel this way, but I knew you would all understand

momand2kids - Yup. I'm 8 years out from my recurrence and we do understand the feeling. Good luck Tuesday.

Glad you had a good visit. TOTALLY understand! I'm 14 years out and anything medical still freaks me out.

...and because nothig is ever simple-they just called about MRI-- some sort of really small fat/necrosis in my other breast-- they want me to come back in 6 months for another one-- because this stuff is new since my last mRI 2 years ago--- NP said it is of minimal concern and if the radiologist was really concerned, I would be scheduled for a biopsy... NP very reassuring-- I go back in April for another MRI to see if there are any changes.... I seem to recall lots of people on the boards being followed for things... I am just going to go with it.. I am going to call it a win overall.

Yes, a probably benign is a good report!!

I've had one bi-rads 4 since surgery and it diagnosed as fat necrosis, and I'm still on the 3's for MRI's but got a 2 on last mammo. Hoping this week's mammo is also a win!!! The constant surveillance can be a little nerve wrecking, but as you said rationally we are probably fine.

    ..this is what it said

...but most likely represent a benign etiology, such as fat necrosis. Recommend short-interval follow-up to assess for stability or resolution.

Recommendation: Diagnostic breast MRI in 6 months"

    going to go with that!

I think if it was seen on the mammogram as well, then a biopsy could be warranted. So, there's that too

Mammo completely fine.... I figure if they say most likely benign in writing they are not overly concerned.
