Hi illimae and KBL!
-
Hi group! We had friends sleep over Sunday night and we drove them this morning to the local waterfall, so I couldn't attend the Zoom meeting today. Happy to report no side effects except a daily nap with my new medicine: afinator and faslodex. This is my third change of medicine in 1.5 years, so I am thinking my life expectancy might be less than the 10 years I initially heard. Still no growth in the 6 inactive bone mets, and no tumors in organs. I think I will start painting art again. Time to treasure my health and life. My lovely dog, Bri is back walking in our wooded park daily with me. She is healed from the dog attack 4 weeks ago.
Sending love and good thoughts to all!

Woodlands, you never know but with cancer under control and bone only so far, there’s no reason to think you wouldn’t make it. I’m approaching 5 years and with numerous pop up brain mets, I still feel good. May your cancer be a lazy one 😁

Hi folks! I signed up for next meeting and was pleased to see the 6th as a date because usually with things like this I miss it by a day and have to wait for the next one to roll around. When I saw this thread at that the 6th was cancelled because of Labor Day, I thought, "now, that's more par for the course!"
. No biggie - it's a holiday for having fun on the last weekend of summer. I'm not new to BCO - have been around since my first bout with BC in 2009, but MBC caught up with me in 2018. I haven't posted much because I've spent the last few years in grief over the death of my husband in July of 2018, and then sick, and now have been busy getting ready to put my house on the market to move to FL to be near my son. Now I'm not sure it is the best time to be moving to FL, and I'm dragging my feet about leaving my house and my friends, so trying to figure out what to do next. In any event, though you don't know me, I recognize all the frequent posters from here, and it will be nice to meet everyone! ~Meg

Woodlands, so glad your pup is healing. They are like our babies. I can't imagine what that felt like.
Meg, hi. Looking forward to meeting you. I'm not sure I'll be able to make the meeting on the 13th, but I'm going to try. I hate missing them.
I'm so sorry you lost your husband. I can’t even imagine what you’ve been through.
I hope you get to make your move soon.

thanks for sharing (flashing us) last mtg. Lol. Seriously, I appreciate everyone sharing. Half the time I don’t get all the lingo but learning. Julia, you have really studied up on BC. I appreciate everyone on the zoom group. My scan showed some shrinkage in size ofsome liver masses and no new spots so I get a chemo break and will be on Herceptin and Perjeta IVs every 3 weeks. Hoping some se improve.
See you all next week. Bev -
Meg, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your husband. We lost our adult son suddenl this past February and I understand your grief. It’s so hard and now you’re looking at a move and dealing with this. It can be overwhelming. My faith has helped sustain me. One day at a time. Hope you can join us next Monday.

Bev, I’m so sorry about your son. I saw that you posted in the liver thread. I don’t write there because I don’t have it in my liver, but I so deeply wanted to tell you I’m sorry.
Meg, I’m also sorry for the loss of your husband as wel. I did not mention that in my above post.
Hugs to both of you.

Hi all. See you in a few hours.

KBL, thanks for hug. I haven’t said much about it on the forum cause everyone is dealing with so much. I appreciate your contributions on our zoom meetings. Hope you have a good week. Be

Sorry I missed you all today.
Quick update: echocardiogram and cardiac labs were all normal, big scans tomorrow.

Ohionana, you deserve to speak as much as we all do. I am so appreciative Melissa doesn’t make us stop at 3:00. I’m so glad my hug made you feel better. I feel for everyone going through this, and it’s so hard. Please keep us posted on how the Letrozole does.
Mae, I mentioned in Mel’s thread you were missed today. More good news after tomorrow, please.
