Is anyone else an atheist with BC besides me?

The JWs knocked on my door. I opened, told them I was a witch. They couldn’t scramble away fast enough. Haven’t been back either.

What happened when the man didn't pay for his exorcism?
.
.
.
He got repossessed.
Why didn't he pay?
.
.
.
He thought it was just a demon-stration.

Oh, for shit's sake. Somebody just posted this in the Covid rant. I'm assuming she's not joking. AAARRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!!
"I'm against the COVID vaccine because I think it's the sign of the beast."
-
right?!??!??!? I’m waiting for that board to explode.
-
Melbo, it was SO tempting to respond to her with 😈👹😈👺😈👺😈👹😈 "I see your beastie and raise it, usually during a full moon!"
-
on the plus side, it should be pretty clear to all of us in that board that there is no arguing with someone like that. If they have gone that far off the deep end then it’s not even worth engaging.
-
I gave up on that thread. You can’t argue with stupid but you can fix it with a 2x4.
-
Now that The Mod Squad has said they'll remove posts that go against facts as presented by the CDC and WHO, I expect to hear some screams of censorship from the usual suspects.
-
Spookiesmom: I read but do not post on that thread either. I agree with your solution and am so tired of the convoluted, meaningless rants of some posters. One poster months ago spent days posting about a healthcare scare, using losts of projection and convoluted analogies because they were afraid of another cancer and dying, yet claims not to be antivax, but anti-mandates, loss of liberty, etc. Makes me want to scream but not to waste my breath.
Agree, Alice.
-
With you 100%, Betrayal. I hate drama queens of either gender. So tiresome. And I say that as someone who has made my living writing dramas for tv. 😏
-
I gave up on that thread too. Tired of people fighting. Arguing won't change anyone's mind.
-
I guess I missed the mark of the beast comment, lol
Melbo, I love the Frenchie profile pic, they’re the best.
-
"Sign of the Beast" ???? My eyebrows went up. I am not sure if it is as joke or not. We are living in a totally insane place right now. The Earth is flat. The sun revolves around it. Heaven is in the sky. (somewhere beyond the ever expanding universe I presume)
I am glad the Covid ranting moved to its own thread. I began to feel like we were all pissing into the wind. Pardon the language.
-
You are copying the thread here.
-
Perhaps we are but we are being more civilized and with less drama. I think some of us needed to decompress from all that wasted rhetoric.
-
I really hope you return to your witty and entertaining selves as I love reading this thread. I come here for a smile. I don’t contribute because I cannot possibly keep up with the wisdom and knowledge.
-
Elderberry, don’t forget that birds aren’t real either. I think some claiming birds are drone spy devices or something like that, geez.
-
My mom thought ATM cards were the mark of the beast when they first arrived on the scene. They're looking for anything to validate the sky fairy.
-
Archie McPhee has these on sale, for anyone interested.
-
Slipping that atheist ornament on the family tree could be fun.
-
Something about that punctuation mark on the ornament: Period. Full stop. End of sentence (and apparently discussion!)
Cracks me up.
-
illimae: the bird drone thing is a new one one me. Now I am going to worry about the crow who comes to visit me every day. He/she sits on the railing and looks into the kitchen. If I don't come out quickly enough, the crow comes on to the window sill and taps on the glass. OMG -- I thought it just liked me for the treats I give it but - oh no ..no no no...it is spying on me.
-
Elderberry, maybe the crow is warning you and offering protection. I finally like wild birds up close again. Many years ago, I was renting the third floor of my sister's house that she and her husband were rehabbing. The old windows hadn't been worked on yet. One night when I was sleeping, one of the windows on my floor fell out completely. I didn't hear it, but awoke to two birds tangled up in my hair and wildly flapping their wings. My screaming must have raised the entire neighborhood. 😳😱😵
Oh, here's a shirt I came across that some of you might like. No birds, just attitude.
-
Illimae— I love my frenchies, although I also have guilt about them since they are so overbred. I got the obnoxious one as a puppy from a breeder when I needed a distraction to stop doom scrolling after the 2016 election. The other one came to us from a friend, so we sort of rescued her.
I think I need that atheist Christmas ornament!
-
Hmm, I think I found my DH's X-mas gift this year. xD
Here's where the bird spycam meme came from. Even though it's a satirical site, the author stays "in character" during interviews.
Pigeons Aren't Real: The Truth About Government Surveillance Drones
-
Ooh, the pigeons! That's the fastest I've ever bookmarked a page! There used to be a hilarious cartoon pigeon cam online, but I think it died with Flash.
-
Alice: There are a few other crows attached to the one who knocks on the window. They are a family or part of a clan who hang around. Every year we get a fledgling with its parent coming to The House Of Good Eats. They don't say "caw caw" - it is more "maw maw" with the inside of their mouths still pink and feathers that are all a mess. Crows are so maligned.
-
Alice, I love that t shirt! My son prints all kinds of fabrics at his work. Wonder if I can get him to print one.
