Hi. I’m moving to MO from TX this summer & need to find a new cancer hospital & team. I’m moving to Washington which is 50 miles west of St. Louis. I’m guessing I’ll have to drive into St. Louis which doesn’t bother me. I currently have a great team at UTSW in Dallas & veryanxious about leaving them. Any recommendations you have for cancer hospitals &/or MO’s would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I go to Siteman Cancer Center which is part of Washington University. It is an NCI designated cancer center. It is in St. Louis but they have several locations throughout the area. Highly recommend.

    Hi!

I am looking for doctor recommendations - surgeon & oncologist. Also looking for recommendations for treatment locations.

This is my second time around. Eight years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer - lumpectomy, chemo and radiation. I lived outside of Chicago. Now I am looking for doctors that will discuss options near St Peters MO.

    I would appreciate feedback!

    Thank you!

    Sincerely,

    Nancy

    Hi Nancy,

I just moved to MO a month ago. I've decided on Siteman Cancer Center based on recommendations. I have my first medical onc appoinment in a few weeks. My breast onc in Dallas gave me the following reccomendations for physicans at Siteman's. She is from this area and said that her mentor is at Siteman's. I trust her 100%.

Medical Onc: Dr Clifton, Dr Herrmann, Dr Peterson, Dr Weilbaecher

Surgical Onc: Dr Cyr, Dr Margenthaler

    Plastics: Dr Tenebaum

Siteman's has multiple locations and not every doctor is at every location, therefore I suggest looking to see what location is closest to your area. I'm out in Washington, so I have to drive into the city no matter what. I hope this is helpful and wish you the best.

Siteman Cancer Center! I agree with Dr. Margenthaler for surgery. My oncologist is at Siteman West Co. If you want to stay close to home to see which MOs are out by you from Siteman.

My plastic surgeon from Johns Hopkins moved to be chief of plastic and reconstructive surgery at Washington University St. Louis Barnes Jewish (Siteman). He is a great surgeon, very skilled, caring physician. A gift to St. Louis. If anyone is looking for recommendations in that area, I had a really great experience with him. He was very well regarded at Johns Hopkins, within the academic medicine community and regularly leads national courses for plastic surgeons in breast reconstruction. And he is a super good guy.
