Hi, I'm wondering if anyone here went on to develop axillary lymph node mets even though you were lymph node negative after the initial surgery. My mastectomy was in February 2020, and I was lymph node negative, Oncotype 7. Recently, doctors accidentally found a slightly enlarged axillary lymph node on the cancer side during imaging for something else. I'm getting a biopsy on it this coming Wednesday. I'm just stunned.

    orangeflower,

I am sorry you have found yourself in this position. The only thing I can say, which is not much of a comfort, is that bc can be very unpredictable. I believe your situation is not common but neither is it unheard of. There are simply no guarantees with bc. Take care and I hope it turns out to be nothing.
